We will depart to the ancient city of Petra, JO, one of Jordan's best-known tourist attractions. Admired then for its refined culture, massive architecture, and ingenious complex of dams and water channels, Petra is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In Petra, we will explore chunks of this fantastic once-lost city which is full of tombs, temples, an impressive amphitheater, and a Roman colonnaded street. The intrepid can ascend either on foot or by donkey the hundreds of rock-cut steps to Ad Deir, a first-century-AD monastery. We will eat and spend the night at a campsite in Wadi Rum. Alternatively, guests may stay at a hotel in Petra.

    Petra is a historical and archaeological city in the southern Jordanian governorate of Ma'an that is famous for its rock-cut architecture and water conduit system. Another name for Petra is the Rose City due to the color of the stone out of which it is carved.

    Ad Deir

    Ad Deir, or the monastery at the ruins of Petra, is nestled deep within the cliffs of the desert which keep the ancient city concealed, a secret oasis amongst barren sands.
  • Complimentary hotel pick-up and drop-off from most hotels in Amman, Dead Sea or Madaba. Pick up time will be reconfirmed (usually between 8:00am and 10:00am). Please advise pick-up hotel at time of booking and call upon arrival in Amman, Dead Sea or Madaba to reconfirm pick-up time.

Confirmation

  • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book the airline tickets until you received the confirmation.

Redemption

  • Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your e-ticket. You must print and bring e-ticket(s) on your trip, as they serve as proof of purchase.

Terms & Condition

  • PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: The purchase of any travel services represents your acceptance Terms & Conditions set out herein. Please ensure that you read carefully and understand these Terms & Conditions prior to booking.
  • Booking changes: A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply.
  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees: Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .
  • Cancellation penalties per person for Day Trips (duration of 24 hrs or less):
    Up to 8 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    3-7 days prior to departure - 20% of total purchase amount.
    Within 2 days prior to departure and no show the day of the services day or after- 100% of total purchase amount.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every efforts to maintain the normal operation.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
    Cancellation penalties per person for Short Tours:
    Up to 46 days prior to departure - 25% of total purchase amount.
    16-45 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    Less then 15 days prior to departure - 75% of total purchase amount.

    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    There is 6% handling fee add-on to the above penalties.
    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.
  • Itinerary Variations: We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation: We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers. We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
