Welcome to Antalya, Turkey! Upon arrival, we'll be waiting to transfer you to the hotel. Information about the meeting place and time can be found on the information boards in the hotel reception area.

In the afternoon, we'll embark on a brief tour of Antalya, a coastal city with more than a million inhabitants. We'll see Hadrian's Gate, the Ottoman district, and the stunning waterfall that flows straight into the sea. Dinner will be included.

    Antalya is a Mediterranean city on the southern shore of Turkey, founded in the second century BCE. It draws many tourists, especially yacht-owners, who find a welcoming port-of-call in its harbor. The area has many Ottoman-era houses and buildings.

Day 2: Antalya - Aspendos - Side - Karaman - Nigde

We'll leave Antalya and head to Aspendos to visit its Roman theater, often regarded as the best-preserved in the world. Afterward, we'll continue to Side, where you'll have the chance to admire the Temple of Apollo by the sea. There will be time to stroll through its bustling port and lively streets. As we travel through stunning landscapes, we'll cross the Taurus Mountains, with peaks that rise over 3,500 meters and remain snow-covered for most of the year. We'll stop in Karaman to see its fortress from the outside before continuing to the Cappadocia region. Dinner will be included in Nigde.
  • Aspendos, TURKEY

    Aspendos, Turkey, boasts one of the best-preserved Roman theaters (2nd century AD), famed for its perfect acoustics. This ancient Pamphylian city also features a Roman aqueduct, agora, and basilica.
  • Side, TURKEY

    Side, is a stunning coastal town with ancient ruins blending into modern resorts. Its well-preserved Roman theater, Temple of Apollo, and harbor-side agora highlight its Greco-Roman past. Once a major pirate hub, Side now attracts visitors with its sandy beaches, turquoise waters, and rich histor - perfect mix of archaeology and Mediterranean charm

    Karaman, is known for its Seljuk and Ottoman heritage, it features landmarks like the Hatuniye Madrasa and Karaman Castle. Surrounded by rugged landscapes, it offers a glimpse into Turkey's medieval past while serving as a gateway to the mysterious Karamanlı Turkish culture.
  • Nigde, TURKEY

    Nigde, surrounded by volcanic landscapes, it boasts underground cities, rock-cut churches, and the majestic Mount Hasan. A blend of Anatolian heritage and natural wonders, Nigde offers an off-the-beaten-path Cappadocian experience.

Day 3: Nigde - Cappadocia - Avanos (21089 km)

We'll spend the entire day exploring the incredible region of Cappadocia, famous for its lunar-like landscapes, ancient churches, and troglodyte villages. We'll begin with a visit to Gumusler, a fascinating 7th-century underground monastery featuring some of the finest Byzantine frescoes in Turkey. In Kaymacli, we'll explore the underground city that could once house up to 30,000 people. Then, we'll visit Uchisar, a natural fortress offering breathtaking views. After lunch, we'll discover the Goreme Valley, home to an open-air museum where we can marvel at the rock-cut churches (tickets included). Our accommodation will be in Avanos and dinner will be included.

    Cappadocia, located in central Turkey, is known for its fairy-tale speckled rock formations: strange rock formations, caves, and historical relics of semi-hermit people. It is also one of the two most popular place for hot air balloon rides on earth.

    Goreme Open-Air Museum

    A break from the traditional museum, this outdoor area in the heart of Cappadocia showcases the some of the region's famous churches and monasteries that have been built in the caves of these impressive rock formations.

    Kaymakli Underground City

    The ancient citadel of Kaymakli in Cappadocia features a series of subterranean cave-dwellings. It appears that an entire community lived underground here. The ruins have helped archaeologists piece together some information about the lives led by the settlers here.

    Uchisar

    The name "Uchisar" means "castle at the top," due to the citadel that was constructed in the caves of this rock, the highest point in all of Cappadocia. The town built on the slopes of the citadel offers fun experiences.

    Monk's Valley

    Monks Valley, known in Turkish as "Pasabag," is an area of Cappadocia known for its breathtaking geological formations: tall rock pillars, many of which were carved out for shelter hundreds of years in the past.

Day 4: Cappadocia - Konya (251 km)

At the far end of Cappadocia, we will visit the Ihlara Valley; known for the freshness of its waters, its churches and villages excavated in the rock. Then we continue our route, with a stop in an old Caravanserai from the 13th Century before arriving in Konya where we visit the Mausoleum of Mevlana (Rumi). Here we will learn about the sect of the Dervishes (entrance included). Dinner included.
At night, we suggest that you attend the dance performance of the whirling dervishes in the cultural centre.

    Ihlara Valley

    A 16 km long gorge cut into volcanic rock in the southern part of Cappadocia, following several eruptions of Mount Erciyes. The whole canyon is honeycombed with rock-cut underground dwellings and churches from the Byzantine period built by the Cappadocian Greeks. Sixteen of the valley's 105 churches are open to visitors, and most of these are within 1km of the official valley entrance in Ihlara.
  • Konya, TURKEY

    Located in the Central Anatolia region of Turkey, Konya is a city with population of 1,174,536. Historically, it was the capital of the Seljuq Sultanate of Rum and the Karamanids.

    Mevlana Museum

    This museum was built in the mausoleum of Jalal ad-Din Muhammed Rumi, a Persian Sufi mystic, most commonly known as Rumi. Because he was the founder of the whirling dervishes, many of the exhibits are dedicated to their history.

Day 5: Konya - Egridir - Pamukkale (302 km)

We take a scenic road between the lakes, and get to know Egridir, a beautiful town next to a large lake, with its walls and mosques. There’s time to have lunch. We then continue to Pamukkale- Hierapolis, whose calcareous waters have created the Cotton Castle (entrance included). Dinner included

    Hierapolis

    Translated from ancient Greek, Hierapolis means "Holy City." Built atop the hot springs near Pamukkale, the city was abandoned in the late medieval period. It's Roman theater is one of the best-preserved examples of such theaters in the world.

Day 6: Pamukkale - Kusadasi (167 km)

We leave in the direction of Ephesus, the best preserved ancient city of Asia Minor; 2000 years ago it had a quarter of a million inhabitants. We will discover the house of the Virgin Mary, the Basilica of Saint John and the impressive ruins at Ephesus (entrance included). We then go on to Kusadasi, a popular coastal town with a lot of atmosphere, commercial life and a small castle. Dinner included.

Note: During high season, from May through October, accommodations will be provided in Aydin instead of Kusadasi. In this case, after exploring Ephesus, we’ll make a stop in Kusadasi (4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.), where we’ll include a panoramic tour of the city before continuing on to Aydin.

    Kusadasi is a resort town on Turkey's Aegean coast. The municipality's primary industry is tourism.

    Ephesus

    The amphitheater at the ruins of Ephesus is still in excellent condition. The Library of Celsus, the Temple of Hadrian, and the Basilica are other notable buildings. The Temple of Artemis was located on the outskirts of the city.

    House of the Virgin Mary

    This small cottage in the hills above Ephesus is supposedly the home where Mary, mother of Jesus, lived out her life after the events of the New Testament. It is regarded as a holy site for both Christians and Muslims.

Day 7: Kusadasi - Lake Bafa - Bodrum - Marmaris (171 km)

We'll leave early to visit one of Turkey´s natural wonders, Lake Bafa, and take a moment to admire its serene beauty. Our journey will then continue to Bodrum, a stunning fortified city of Greek origin. Here, you can explore its impressive castle, wander through its lively streets bustling with tourists, or visit its marina. After lunch, we'll proceed to Marmaris, another picturesque coastal tourist destination known for its castle, pier, and fountains. Dinner will be included.

Please note: On some occasions, especially during the summer, our accommodation will be in the nearby town of Mugla instead of Marmaris.

Day 8: Marmaris - Dalyan - Antalya (217 km)

We'll depart for Dalyan, an incredible place beside a river where we’ll enjoy a boat trip to see the Lycian Rock Tombs. We’ll then continue by boat to a large lake, stopping at the thermal springs. If you wish, you can bathe in the warm waters or enjoy a mud bath. Our journey will then continue to Antalya, where we’ll take a brief tour of this vibrant coastal city, home to over a million people, including Hadrian’s Gate, the Ottoman quarter, and the impressive waterfall that plunges directly into the sea.

    A riverside gem in southwest Turkey, famed for its Lycian rock tombs carved into cliffs, pristine İztuzu Beach (protected loggerhead turtle nesting site), and therapeutic Dalyan mud baths. The Dalyan Delta, teeming with wildlife, offers serene boat trips amid reeds and ancient ruins like Kaunos. A perfect blend of history, nature, and relaxation!

    Lycian Rock Tombs

    Soaring above the Dalyan River, these 4th-century BCE cliff-carved tombs belong to the ancient city of Kaunos (a Lycian-Carian border stronghold). Their ornate temple-like facades mimic wooden Lycian houses, designed to guide souls to the afterlife.

    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings.     118 dollars will be charged if cancel or change within or more than 31 days before departure date (not including departure date).
    10% of total fee and 118 dollars will be charged if cancel or change within 30 days before departure date (not including departure date).
    50% of total fee and 118 dollars will be charged if cancel or change within 15 days before departure date (not including departure date).
    75% of total fee and 118 dollars will be charged if cancel or change within 7 days before departure date (not including departure date).
    Absolutely NO refund on all cancellations or postponements within 1 day prior to departure (not including departure date).
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour..
