The Navajo name for Antelope Canyon is Hasdeztwazi or "Spiral Rock Arches." Many years ago, herds of Pronghorn Antelope roamed freely in and around the canyon, which explains the English name. This incredible canyon has been created over many thousands of years by the relentless forces of water and wind, slowly carving and sculpting the sandstone into forms, textures, and shapes which we observe today.

The most popular slot canyon in the American Southwest is Antelope Canyon, a sandstone formation formed by flood and rainwater. The canyon is located on a Navajo reservation, and has been made a Navajo Tribal Park.
Upper Antelope Canyon
Upper Antelope Canyon is called "the place where water runs through rocks" by the Navajo. Its entrance and entire length are at ground level, requiring no climbing. Beams occur most often in the summer months, as they require the sun to be high in the sky.

- The scattering of cremated remains is not permitted within the Navajo Tribal Parks.

Child rates: Child rates apply to those who are 0-12 yrs old. Please inform us the date of birth of all the children in your group at tour booking. Tour operator is entitled to decline customers who take infant or child that there is no registration in advance.
