This tour requires a minimum number of passengers to operate. If the minimum is not met, we reserve the right to cancel the tour or operate it using a minibus, depending on the final number of participants. If this occurs, you will be offered the option to reschedule the tour for an alternative date or receive a full refund.

Q: What are optional tours? What if I choose not to join an optional tour?

Optional tours are additional activities or attractions that are not included in the base tour price and are offered to enhance your travel experience. All optional tours must be booked at the time of order and cannot be added later during the tour. If you choose not to participate in an optional activity, you will have free time at the destination. The tour guide will arrange a designated meeting point and time to pick you up and continue with the main itinerary.

Q: Do you provide airport transfer service?

Yes the airport transfer will be provided on certain tours. Complimentary airport pickup at Calgary International Airport (YYC) is available at scheduled times. Hotel shuttle and pre-paid private car pickup options are also offered. Pickup method depends on flight arrival time. Final pickup details will be confirmed by SMS one day before departure. Additional fees may apply if incorrect or late flight information is provided.

All tours are led by professional, licensed tour guides. Your tour guide’s contact information will be provided 1–2 days before departure, allowing you to reconfirm meeting details and address any last-minute questions.

Q: What are the Pre-Tour and Post-Tour Hotel options? Do they include transportation?

Pre- and post-tour hotel options allow guests to arrive early or stay late. Multiple hotel packages are available, with or without transportation service. Guests should select their preferred option based on their travel needs when placing the order.

The Columbia Icefield spans 200 square miles in the Canadian Rockies and feeds iconic glaciers like Athabasca Glacier. Enjoy a thrilling experience, including a Snow Coach ride onto the glacier and a walk on the glass-floored Skywalk, surrounded by breathtaking mountain views.

Ice Explorer and Skywalk will remain in operation through October 13. Subsequent itineraries include a stop here: in good weather, enjoy a 60-minute guided glacier foothill hike for close views; in poor conditions, view the glacier from a distance and visit Waterfowl Lake.

It is named for features such as the Columbia Icefield, visible from the parkway. It links Lake Louise with Jasper to the north. At its southern end, the Icefields Parkway terminates at Highway 1.

Athabasca Falls

A powerful, picturesque waterfall, Athabasca Falls is not known so much for the height of the falls (23 metres), as it is known for its force due to the large quantity of water falling into the gorge.

Day 2: Jasper - Medicine Lake - Maligne Lake Cruise & Lunch (optional) - Maligne Canyon - The Crossing - Bow Lake - Banff (157 km)

In the morning, pass by Medicine Lake, we will head to Maligne Lake. To enhance the experience and explore the world-famous Spirit Island , which is only accessible by cruise, we will take the Maligne Lake Cruise (optional surcharge) in Jasper. Then head to Maligne Canyon (Maligne Canyon is closed and will be replaced with alternative Waterton Lake and Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge). On the way back, we'll relax in peace at the Saskatchewan River Crossing for a short rest. Arrive at Bow Lake for a 20-minute photo stop. Overnight in Banff.

Medicine Lake (Passing By)

Medicine Lake, also known as “the lake that disappears” is located 20 km southeast of the town of Jasper. Medicine lake is a 7 km long narrow lake that is formed by the Maligne River. Interesting enough, the lake loses water as it flows.

Maligne Lake

This amazing lake and the scenery surrounding it is one of the most-photographed areas in the world. It is beloved for its crystalline waters, the surrounding mountains, and Spirit Island. The area is home to many animals, including caribou.

Spirit Island Cruise

Cruise down the lovely Maligne Lake to small Spirit Island, the landmark at which you will turn around to return to your starting point.

Maligne Lake Cruise operates approximately May 29 to October 11, subject to weather and lake conditions. When the cruise is unavailable, it will be replaced with a visit to Pyramid Lake (45 minutes) and Patricia Lake (15 minutes)

Maligne Canyon

Maligne Canyon is a natural feature located in the Jasper National Park near Jasper, Alberta, Canada. Eroded out of the Palliser Formation, the canyon measures over 50 metres (160 ft) deep. Popular for sightseeing and exploration, the area contains waterfalls, stream outlets, birds and plant life.

Maligne Canyon is closed and will be replaced with alternative Beauvert Lake and Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge

Saskatchewan River Crossing

The Saskatchewan River Crossing is an interesting place to stop for a short rest as you are driving near the junction of Banff National Park and the Icefields Parkway. This place was actually named âThe Crossingâ because back in the 19th century, travelers and fur traders would use this spot to cross the North Saskatchewan River on their way to the beautiful province of British Columbia.

Bow Lake is a bright turquoise color which is due to the glacial runoff from Bow Glacier. Historical Simpson's Num-Ti-Jah is located on the shores of Bow Lake at the foot of Mount Jimmy Simpson.

Day 3: Lake Louise - Moraine Lake - Lake Louise Village Lunch (optional) - Emerald Lake - Natural Bridge (253 km)

We will pass by Castle Mountain on the way to Lake Louise, overlooked by a stately chateau and backed by Victoria Glacier and elevated by Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, followed closely by Moraine Lake (Open Seasonally. Alternative Attractions: Lake Minnewanka / Vermilion Lakes). Set in the rugged Valley of the Ten Peaks.
After lunch, we will enter the Yoho National Park, passing by Spiral Tunnel and arriving to Emerald Lake and Natural Bridge.
Then we will be back to Calgary.

Spiral Tunnels (Passing By)

[Spiral Tunnel] is a section of the Canadian Pacific Railway that carried too much blood and tears of railroad workers and history.

Emerald Lake

The Emerald Lake in British Columbia, Canada's Yoho National Park is the largest of the park's many lakes and one of the park's most popular spots. The lake is named for the spectacular turquoise color of the water.

Natural Bridge

The Kicking Horse River, a Canadian Heritage river, in the Yoho park, has created a natural bridge through solid rock. This formation is located 3 km west of Field, accessible from the road to Emerald Lake.

In the event of traffic, weather, or other circumstances not under our company's control, or if you are unable to participate in activities included in the itinerary due to personal reasons, no refunds will be given.
During the tour, please arrive at the pick-up location at the time scheduled by the tour guide. Do not be late to avoid delaying other tourists' itinerary. If you are late or miss the transportation we have provided, you are responsible (at your own expense) to meet the group at the next designated meeting location.
Luggage Policy: Each guest is allowed 1 check-in bag (total dimensions must not exceed 62 inches), 1 carry-on, and 1 personal item. Extra luggage will not be allowed.

Confirmation

After the reservation information is submitted, you will immediately receive a receipt email for the reservation order. Within 72 hours of submission, you will receive an order status confirmation email. Please do not book a flight until you receive an order status confirmation email.

Redemption

After booking online, you will receive a "confirmation email" with complete instructions, including the local phone number of the destination. When you are sure, be sure to print this "confirmation email" and take it with you on your trip -- evidence that you have paid for it.

Terms & Condition

The following applies to order cancellations and changes:
- reduce the number of participants for the same order
- cancel the entire order
- change of itinerary
- change different dates for the same trip
1. No refund will be made for any change or cancellation of the entire order or one or all of the activities, meals, tickets and accommodation within 15 days prior to the departure of the tour;
2. 16-30 days prior to the departure of the tour - 50% will be refunded
3. Charge C$50/ order/time service fee 31 days or more before the tour (activities and catering are refundable)
4. The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
The following applies to order modification
- increase the number of participants in the trip (depending on the resource situation of the corresponding date of the trip)
- change the name of the person participating in the trip
1. No modification shall be made within 14 days before the tour
2. A service fee of C$50/ single/trip will be charged for 15days or more before the trip
If your itinerary includes shuttle service, please be sure to provide accurate flight information and arrive at the designated pick-up location in advance. The travel agency reserves the right to provide the second service or to charge $30 per person if there is an error in pick-up due to inaccurate information.
Visitors under the age of 16 should be accompanied by an adult (aged 18 or above).
Please understand that complimentary items unavailable due to traffic, weather or other force majeure factors, or you cannot participate due to personal reasons, the fees will not be refunded.
We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance.
If you have special needs (such as bed, vegetarian, baby chair, etc.), please inform us at least 7 days before the trip, we will try to coordinate, but no guarantee.

This tour was awesome. Beautiful weather, breathtaking landscapes, well structured, very good travel organization, helpful and kind guides. All the places covered in this tour were nice and worth it. I loved the Moraine Lake, Lake Louise, Emerald lake, Maligne lake, Columbia Icefield tour, and all of the places included in this trip. The hotel accommodations provided in Banff downtown as well as in Jasper were top-notch. We stayed in Canalta Lodge in Banff downtown and Forest Park Hotel in Jasper. We had 2 tour guides who managed the entire trip for us. On day 1, we had Tour Guide Jaela and the bus driver Daniel from Westar travels who took us to Banff and Yoho National Park. On days 2 & 3, the tour guide Ray from Westar Travel took care of entire trip thereafter. He drove us to Jasper in a mini van and accompanied us through every attraction together for the 2 days. Both Jaela and Ray were very friendly and good at explaining the niceties of places and made the experience really memorable. They also helped take good pictures with the family. Throughout the 2 days trip to and from Jasper, Ray shared countless interesting anecdotes and stories. For meals and other required breaks, Ray took care to recommend good places serving veggie meals also for the 2 days. There was good coordination between TakeTours and the service provider Westar Travel. Depending on the number of travelers to the different spots that was included in this itinerary, our plans for the 3 days was adjusted. We had Day 3 Banff listed itinerary on the first day of the tour, and itineraries for Day 1&2 were conducted on Day 2 & 3 respectively. Based on the itinerary change, the hotel and food arrangements were adjusted accordingly, and we were well taken care of by the team on ground. Shout out to both Ray and Jalela who did a wonderful job as a tour guide and made this trip a cherishing one. I would highly recommend this tour to others who want to get a glimpse of Canadian Rockies in short days. For the first timers to these places, I would also recommend that you take all the activities that are included in this trip. All of the activities are worth it. The hotel accommodations provided in Banff downtown as well as in Jasper were top-notch. We stayed in Canalta Lodge in Banff downtown and Forest Park Hotel in Jasper. We had 2 tour guides who managed the entire trip for us. On day 1, we had Tour Guide Jaela and the bus driver Daniel from Westar travels who took us to Banff and Yoho National Park. On days 2 & 3, the tour guide Ray from Westar Travel took care of entire trip thereafter. He drove us to Jasper in a mini van and accompanied us through every attraction together for the 2 days. Both Jaela and Ray were very friendly and good at explaining the niceties of places and made the experience really memorable. They also helped take good pictures with the family. Throughout the 2 days trip to and from Jasper, Ray shared countless interesting anecdotes and stories. For meals and other required breaks, Ray took care to recommend good places serving veggie meals also for the 2 days. There was good coordination between TakeTours and the service provider Westar Travel. Depending on the number of travelers to the different spots that was included in this itinerary, our plans for the 3 days was adjusted. We had Day 3 Banff listed itinerary on the first day of the tour, and itineraries for Day 1&2 were conducted on Day 2 & 3 respectively. Based on the itinerary change, the hotel and food arrangements were adjusted accordingly, and we were well taken care of by the team on ground. Shout out to both Ray and Jalela who did a wonderful job as a tour guide and made this trip a cherishing one. I would highly recommend this tour to others who want to get a glimpse of Canadian Rockies in short days. For the first timers to these places, I would also recommend that you take all the activities that are included in this trip. All of the activities are worth it. Given a chance, I will plan to go again and spend more time in Banff and Jasper. Fantastic tour!

This tour was awesome. Beautiful weather, breathtaking landscapes, well structured, very good travel organization, helpful and kind guides. All the places covered in this tour were nice and worth it. I loved the Moraine Lake, Lake Louise, Emerald lake, Maligne lake, Columbia Icefield tour, and all of the places included in this trip.
