Welcome to Peru, where your adventure kicks off high in the Andes. Fly into Cusco Airport, then stop by the Costsaver Welcome Desk at San Agustin Urubamba between 2pm and 4pm. At 4pm, join your group transfer to the Sacred Valley as city streets give way to mountain peaks, patchwork fields and Andean villages. Arrive in Urubamba and enjoy the evening your way.

This town sits 20 minutes down the mountain from Machu Picchu. Its name, "hot waters" in English, derives from the presence of numerous thermal springs in the area that make thisvillage a great place to relax after a hike.
All aboard this morning as you hop on the train back to Ollantaytambo, with time to grab a lunch of your choice. Then stretch your legs on a gentle walk from Urco to Calca, following peaceful valley paths past farms, eucalyptus groves and Quechua villages. Big Andean views? Absolutely. Local life? You’ll see that too. Later, stop at Vicuñita, an environmental project bringing traditional Cusco plants and trees back to life. - TRANSFERS: Costsaver does not offer transfers unless stated otherwise. Guests should make their own way from/to the airport at their own expense. The welcome email will include information on public transportation options from/to the airport, along with estimated costs for a taxi where available.
- IMPORTANT: A valid passport with at least six months validity after your return date from Peru is required to enter the country.
- LUGGAGE: Guests are allowed to bring one 11 lbs./5 kg piece of hand luggage per person on the train journey to/from Machu Picchu. Your primary luggage will be securely stored and returned to you on arrival in Cusco.
- PLEASE NOTE: In some locations, guests will be required to walk on uneven terrain and climb stairs without handrails. Guests should be in good health and be able to walk without assistance. For high elevations, recommend guests with pre-existing medical conditions talk with a doctor prior to travel.
- ELEVATION: The highest overnight elevation point for this guided vacation is 11,154 ft. / 3,400 m, in Cusco.
- PORTERAGE: Porterage is not included. Guests will be required to handle their own luggage throughout their tour.
