Welcome to Darwin, where the air is warm, the sunsets are fiery and the vibe is as laid-back as it gets. Set out on a city sights tour and get a feel for this tropical capital, from its distinctive architecture to the stories that shaped it, including the 1942 bombing and Cyclone Tracy in 1974. You’ll take in key sights like the Botanic Gardens and the sweeping coastal views from East Point Reserve. Tonight, round things off with dinner at a waterfront restaurant, the perfect way to ease into Top End life.

- ARRIVAL: Arrive into Darwin Airport (DRW) no later than 13:30. Trip starts at 15:30.
- DEPARTURE: Depart from Broome Airport (BME). Flights to depart anytime.
- TRANSFERS: Chargeable transfers available for guests who have booked their extra hotel nights with us. Guests booking independent hotel nights will need to make their own transfer arrangements.
- FITNESS REQUIREMENT: A moderate level of fitness is required due to the remote locations this trip operates in, with extreme temperatures and uneven rocky ground.
- EMMA GORGE HIKE: High level of fitness required. This hike is considered ""difficult"" and only guests with a high level of fitness will be able to complete this hike. There are sections of the track that you will need to be able to climb up cliff faces, cross rugged creek beds and scramble over rocks on all fours.
- RECOMMENDED CLOTHING: Due to the extreme temperatures in this region, we recommend guests pack warm clothes for the cool evenings and comfortable clothes for the heat of the day.
- UNSEALED ROADS: The majority of the journey is done on the highways, however there are a couple of small portions of this itinerary that involves driving on un-sealed roads.
