Itinerary

Overview

11:00 Please go to the meeting place (3820 University Ave S, Fairbanks, AK 99709) by yourself, arrive before 11:45 and check-in

13:00 Fly to Coldfoot Camp airport by plane. Estimated flight time is 1 hour and 10 minutes. After landing, you will take the bus to Coldfoot Camp, where you will have 1 hour of free time, and send postcards at the post office in the northernmost part of the United States, and you can also enjoy delicious food in the camp restaurant.

15:45 Gather and drive back to Fairbanks (please use the restroom and buy snacks before departure to make final preparations for the long-distance trip)

17:30 Arrive at Arctic Circle Sign and we will issue you an Arctic Circle Adventure Certificate here to commemorate your expedition to conquer the polar regions (stay for no less than 15 minutes).

20:00 Arrive at Yukon River Camp. After a short rest here, we will continue our journey.

23:00 Arrive at Arctic Circle Trading Post, you will take a short rest here, and you can also pay to participate in the Aurora Viewing ($60/person), waiting for the appearance of the aurora, expected 03:30-04:30, Arrive at the hotel.

01:00-02:00 Other guests return to the hotel.

Arctic Circle Fly Drive Adventure

Start by going to the airport to take a small sightseeing plane to the town of Coldfoot. From the plane you'll get majestic bird’s-eye views of the snow-covered tundra. Upon arrival, you can send a postcard to your friends and family at the Arctic Post Office. You’ll return to Fairbanks via the famous Dalton Highway on a specially equipped arctic bus. On the way, visit the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, the Yukon River, and the Alaska Arctic Circle (66°33' north) marker, where you will receive an "Arctic Circle Exploration Certificate".

Requires reconfirmation. Guided in English. Please provide your weight upon booking. Most sections of this itinerary have no mobile phone signal coverage.

Coldfoot Camp

Nestled in the Brooks Range, Coldfoot Camp is a key truck stop and tourist center on the Dalton Highway, offering lodging, meals, and supplies for Arctic adventures.

Arctic Circle Sign

The Arctic Circle Sign at 66°33′N marks the symbolic entrance to the Arctic. Visitors often take photos here and experience natural wonders like the midnight sun and polar night.

Yukon River Camp

The Yukon River Camp is a vital Dalton Highway pit stop and supply post on the mighty Yukon River. It offers fuel, basic meals, and a unique wilderness experience for travelers.

Arctic Circle Trading Post

A famous landmark and gift shop on Alaska's Dalton Highway, located right at the Arctic Circle sign. It offers souvenirs, photo opportunities, and light refreshments for travelers.

Aurora is a natural phenomenon and depends on solar activity. You are not guaranteed to see it.

Booking changes
A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .
Cancellation and Refund Policy:
TakeTours makes every effort to serve our customers better. We also advise all customers to purchase traveler's insurance in case of interruption, accidents, illness, or anything else that may come up. If a reservation has to be cancelled, customers will be charged a fee depending on how far from the departure date the cancellation takes place.
4 or more days prior to departure - 10% of total purchase amount
Within 3 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount
Day of departure or no-show - 100% of total purchase amount
Notification day and departure day are NOT counted. Unused features are non-refundable. The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.NOTE: We cannot grant refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.
Itinerary Variations
We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
Tour Cancellation
We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
