    After pickup from Fairbanks airport, guests will be transferred to hotel. Hetel usually checkin after 15:00. When night falls, we will take bus to the Clear Summit Aurora Viewing logdge or Aurora Viewing Bar on the outskirts of the city at 22:00 and enjoy the northern lights. It is expected to arrive at the hotel at 02:00 in the morning.

      Clear Summit Aurora Viewing Lodge

      The bar is on the mountain top where is far away from the city and has less light pollution. There is a large monitoring screen in the bar, so please make yourself comfortable inside while waiting for the Northern lights to show up.

      There are thousands of one-dollar bills with hand-written blessings all over the wall and the roof of the bar. You could wait for the Northern Lights in this lovely warm lodge and have a drink if you’re interested.

    Day 2

    Fairbanks City Tour

    Depart from the hotel around 1:00 pm, we will enjoy Fairbanks city tour. Today we will visit Santa Claus House, University of Alaska Museum of the North. Depart from the hotel around 6:30 pm, we will head for Chena Hot Springs Resort and visit Ice Museum. You can order an apple martini that comes in an ice molded martini glass (at your own expense, at least 21 years old). As daylight wanes, you can watch the northern lights while enjoying the hot springs! Back to Fairbanks hotel around 2:00 am the next morning.

    We will enjoy a free morning before Fairbanks City Tour. Optional tour: Dogsled and Culture Tour.

      A Christmas-themed retail store in North Pole, Alaska. It was founded as a trading post alongside the Richardson Highway in 1952.

      Museum of North

      Housed on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus, the museum's mission is to acquire, conserve, investigate, and interpret specimens and collections relating to the natural, artistic, and cultural heritage of Alaska and the Circumpolar North.

      You will take a tour of Morris Thompson Cultural & Visitor Center if UAF Museum of the North is closed. And get refund USD12 per person.

      Aurora Ice Museum

      The present museum is made of a steel framework with hollow walls and consists of a great hall and a lounge. Some of the ice sculptures include a gigantic ice tower and life-size jousting knights. One of the rooms even has a non-functioning ice toilet.

      Chena Hot Springs Resort

      Chena Hot Springs was founded over 100 years ago. The resort makes use of the first low-temperature binary geothermal power plant built in Alaska and is working on several alternative energy projects, including production and use of hydrogen and vegetable oil for fuel.

      If you are not convenient to enjoy the hot springs due to physical sick, the tour guide will help to change your hot spring ticket to Ice Museum ticket which has the equal value.

      Dogsled and Culture Tour

      An Alaskan resident Leslie will take you experience dog sledding and introduce you the dog sledding culture. Leslie opens a training ground for the sled dogs and trains young mushers. Leslie’s dog sledding cultural exhibition center shows visitors how an Alaskan native use the dog sled as a traditional commuting tool and its profound cultural traditions.

      In autumn when there is insufficient snowfall, the dog team will pull a ATV instead of a sled for about 5 to 10 minutes.

    Fairbanks - Coldfoot (180 miles)

    Today we will take Arctic Circle tour by land. We will drive through Dalton Highway, view Yulon River, Alaska Pipeline. In the end we will arrive at Alaska's Arctic Circle ( the 66 ° 33 ' latitude) landmark, and be awarded a certificate of Arctic expeditions. Later we will arrive in Coldfoot and stay overnight in camp. Around 22:00, we will visit Wiseman Aurora Viewing Lodge and return to hotel around 02:00.

    Coldfoot - Fairbanks (180 miles)

    In the morning, you can participate in hiking, snowshoe walking, or visit aboriginal village organized by the English-language local guide in Coldfoot (please ask local guides for specific arrangements). Depart from Coldfoot to Fairbanks by Thomas Arctic bus at around 3:00 pm - 3:30 pm. The guide will choose three locations for Northern Lights. We'll arrive at the Fairbanks Hotel at around 2:00 am - 3:00 am next morning. You have chance to upgrade today's ground tour to Coldfoot to Fairbanks Arctic Flight Tour.

    Today you will go to Anchorage from Fairbanks by yourself. You are responsible for the transportation from Fairbanks to Anchorage.

    Optional: Fairbanks-Anchorage Aurora Train with Pickup and Drop off Service : 08:30-20:00, depart on Sundays. Additional departure may be available on peak seasons. Anchorage Aurora Chasing Tour: Departing at 10:00pm, with tour guide, view aurora at best location.

    Today we will go to Turn-again Arm, stop at Beluga Point, visit Alyeska resort, take cable car to mountain top. After lunch we will visit Earthquake Park, Captain Cook Monument, enjoy shopping at Forth and Fifth Avenues. We will go back to Anchorage hotel at around 4:00 pm. Optional: winter glacier helicopter tour (limited to guests who choose to visit Turn-again Arm) or change today's itinerary to Matanuska Glacier Hiking Tour (lunch on your own).

      Turn-again Arm

      A waterway into the northwestern part of the Gulf of Alaska. It is one of two narrow branches at the north end of Cook Inlet, the other being Knik Arm.

      Earthquake Park

      The 1964 Alaskan earthquake, also known as the Great Alaskan earthquake occurred at 5:36 PM AST on Good Friday, March 27 across south-central Alaska. The destroyed area in Anchorage has since been turned into Earthquake Park.

      Captain Cook Monument

      The monument in central Anchorage is a multi-storey wooden observation deck with a statue of Captain Cook overlooking Cook Inlet and Anchorage train station.

      Winter Glacier Helicopter

    • The optional tour is affected by the weather factors. If the tour got cancelled, we will issue a refund.
    • If there is any discrepancy between the schedule and the tour guide, please refer to the guide time.
    • There are a few restaurants along the Arctic Circle where you can have lunch and dinner or prepare your own meals.
    • Aurora is a natural phenomenon and depends on solar activity. You are not guaranteed to see it.
    • The order of the trip will be adjusted according to your departure dates and weather conditions.
    • Note that plans from many cellular carriers do not work in Alaska, please make sure the number you provided can receive texts or calls after landing, otherwise an alternative communication method should be established beforehand.
    • Coldfoot Camp: There are only two single beds in each room. If you book Triple or Quadruple room, you will be arranged in two separate rooms during your stay at Coldfoot Camp, and no one will share a room with strangers. You could just take the required items to Coldfoot Camp, store the heavy luggage in the front desk of Fairbanks hotel.
    • Coldfoot - Fairbanks Arctic Flight Tour: Due to the weight limit, you could only carry 10 lbs. luggage when taking the flight. If the Flight Tour is cancelled due to the bad weather, the upgrade fee will be refunded, and you will be rearranged going back to Fairbanks by bus.

    • Booking changes
      A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
    • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
      Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .
    • Cancellation and Refund Policy:
      TakeTours makes every effort to serve our customers better. We also advise all customers to purchase traveler's insurance in case of interruption, accidents, illness, or anything else that may come up. If a reservation has to be cancelled, customers will be charged a fee depending on how far from the departure date the cancellation takes place.

    • Itinerary Variations
      We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
    • Tour Cancellation
      We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
