This tour of Hawaii takes us on an exploration of Oahu past and present.

Guests will be picked up at Waikiki hotels in the morning. Our first stop of the day will be Pearl Harbor, HI, where we will learn about the attack the catapulted the United States into World War II. Our tour will take us to the USS Arizona Memorial and drive through the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (courts of the missing), also known as the Punchbowl National Cemetery.

We will then return to Honolulu, HI to take a tour of the city that highlights its status as the Hawaiian capital. We will see the Honolulu Hale, State Library and Archives, 'Iolani Palace, Kawalaha'o Church, Mission Houses Museum and the Statue of King Kamehameha I.

At the end of the day, we will return to the departure points for dropoff. Please see "Departure and Returns" for more information.

    Pearl Harbor is a lagoon harbor on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, west of Honolulu. Much of the harbor and surrounding lands is a United States Navy deep-water naval base. It is also the headquarters of the United States Pacific Fleet.

    USS Arizona Memorial

    This memorial in Honolulu, Hawaii serves as a remembrance of the American soldier killed in the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. The ship marks the resting place of over one thousand of the dead.

    Honolulu Hale

    Honolulu Hale ("House" in Hawaiian) is the city hall of Honolulu and the center of government for the city and county. Built in 1928, it is surrounded by many important and historical Hawaiian landmarks, such as ʻIolani Palace.

    'Iolani Palace

    The 'Iolani Palace in Honolulu, Hawaii is the only formerly-functional royal palace in the United States. Until 1893, King Kalākaua and Queen Liliʻuokalani ruled from the palace. Since then, it has been used as capitol building and museum.

    Kawaiaha'o Church

    Kawaiahaʻo Church in Honolulu on the island of Oahu is a Congregational Church built of coral stone slabs from local quarries that was completed in 1842. It was the main church of the Kamehameha royal family for several decades.

    King Kamehameha I

    This brass statue honors Kamehameha I, also known as Kamehameha the great, who conquered and unified the Hawaiian Islands in 1810. It serves as an important cultural, spiritual, and historical landmark for the Hawaiian people.
  • This tour departs Waikiki on 2 times: 1. 9:00-9:25 am returning approximately 2:30-3:00 pm. 2. 10:45 AM-11:00 am returning approximately 4:30-4:45 pm.

  • The US Department of the Interior has instituted a "no bags" policy at the Arizona Memorial and Visitor Center. Passengers may not carry any item that offers concealment. This includes purses, handbags, backpacks, diaper bags, etc. A small camera is permitted. Please bring vital items in a manner that they can be placed in your pockets. Do not leave valuables on the bus.
