Welcome to Langkawi, where postcard views are basically the norm. After checking into the hotel, you’ll have a free afternoon to settle in or head out and explore. In the evening, we'll officially kick things off with our brand new crew.

Check in and throw down the bags, but no time to stop, because today we're heading to the vibrant suburb and UNESCO-listed Georgetown where we'll be whisked into a world of temples and street art. When we're done with Georgetown, we'll head out for some spicy street eats and exploring this evening.

So long, Penang! We’re heading to Kuala Lumpur today, with a stop-off at Ipoh along the way. Welcome to Ipoh. Awash with boutique cafes, street art and a rich heritage trail, you’ll have a splendid time breathing in the fresh highland air before we take to the city vibes of Kuala Lumpur. We arrive to a complete change of scene as we head to the Malaysian capital city for some big city vibes, epic sights and a visit to the world famous Batu Caves.

Today we’ll have a full day in Kuala Lumpur where you’ll experience the biggest and best aspects of the city. There's an optional guided tour on the agenda, or you're free to explore the streets of KL however you like. Tonight, you have the option to hop on a Vespa and hit the streets to check out this wonderful city's night markets. Think delish food, local culture and sick ride.

Asia is under our belts and the squad is next level tight. We'll say our sad goodbyes before going our separate ways - big plans to reunite somewhere special.

- DAY 1: Trip starts in Langkawi at 18:00. Guests to arrive into Langkawi International Airport (LGK). The kick-start meeting starts at 18:00. Recommended flight arrival time by 15:00 to avoid missing the kick-start meeting.
- DAY 8: Trip ends in Singapore at 09:00. Guests to depart from Singapore Changi Airport (SIN).
- TRANSFERS: Both complimentary and chargeable transfers are not offered through Contiki. Guests should make their own way from/to the airport at their own expense.
- NATIONAL TOURISM TAX - MALAYSIA: National Tourism Tax, as implemented by the Malaysian Government, must be paid by all guests at each hotel when checking out. The cost of this is MYR$10 (Malaysian Ringgit) per room per night (approximately USD$2.50) per room per night. It cannot be included in the price of our tours since it is regulated by the Royal Malaysia Customs Department.
- INTERNAL FLIGHTS: Luggage allowance is limited to 1 suitcase per guest (maximum of 44lbs/20Kg) and 1 piece of hand luggage per guest, not exceeding 12"x11"x6" (30x28x14cm). Refer to trip documents for any exceptions.
- GROUND HANDLER: This trip is operated by Contiki Holidays Asia Limited & you have one of our awesome Trip Managers on board. In South East Asia we contract our Ground services through a local Destination Management Company, called Trails of Indochina & EXO Travel. Their local guides & our Trip Manager will look after you through-out the trip.
- Bangkok: A modular trip means fellow travellers will join and leave at various locations. There’ll be some goodbyes, sure, but there’ll also be plenty of hellos with new like-minded travellers.

All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book airline tickets until you have received the confirmation.
Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, is included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

Each passenger must carry a valid travel document. (Valid visa for countries needed) (E.g. Green Card, Passport, Re-Entry Permit, and etc.) Tour operator is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items.

Cancellation penalties per person (request day and departure day are not counted)
30 days or more prior to departure - $175/person penalty.
2-29 days or more prior to departure - $280/person penalty.
Day of departure no show or late - 100% per person.
If the tour include airtickets, additional $75+airline surcharge will be charged as penalty.
Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a scheduled trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every effort to maintain normal operations.
The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of the tour.
