  • Death Valley, CA

    Death Valley, CA
Death Valley is a region of the Mojave Desert which has the distinction of being the lowest and driest area of North America. The hottest temperature ever recorded on Earth, occurred here.

    View of Dante

The best time to visit Dante's View is in the cooler morning hours, when the sun is in the east. Dante's View is an excellent venue for night time star viewing with telescopes.

    Zabriskie Point

Zabriskie Point is a part of Amargosa Range located east of Death Valley in Death Valley National Park in California, United States, noted for its erosional landscape. It is composed of sediments from Furnace Creek Lake, which dried up 5 million years ago — long before Death Valley came into existence.

    Badwater Basin

    Badwater Basin
This barren basin in the heart of Death Valley National Park has an elevation of 282 feet below sea level, making it the lowest point in North America.

    Golf Course of Devil

The Devil's Golf Course is a large salt pan on the floor of Death Valley. It was named after a line in the 1934 National Park Service guide book to Death Valley National Monument, which stated that "Only the devil could play golf" on its surface, due to a rough texture from the large halite salt crystal formations.

  • Adrian was an awesome guide. Really down to earth, funny and easy to be around. I would highly recommend him. The tour itself was the highlight of our trip to Vegas. It was an opportunity to see geography you probably won't see elsewhere. Beautiful, almost alien landscapes.

  • We took a day-long tour of Death Valley with Indy in April 2022. A great day – saw Death Valley from Dante’s Peak and Zabriskie Point, the Bad Water Basin and the Devil’s Golf Course in the valley, the Artist’s Pallet, the Salt flats, and much more. Indy is a first-class example of why one should have a guide for national parks -- you learn fascinating information about the landscape, the heat (and the explanation for the snow on nearby mountain ranges), the changes in geological formations over the hundreds of millions of years that led to the current barren landscape, the plants and animals that survive in this environment. But you also get Indy, who has experiences from work at various national parks, and with him you get the Stories -- about Death Valley, for example, the Twenty Mule Team, Scotty’s Castle, and Murder and Mayhem in Death Valley, and other parks as well -- told with panache by one who has lived a full and well-travelled life. Take the tour with Indy – you’ll have a memorable day.
