This 250,000-square-foot temple is the largest of the temples belonging to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, known colloquially as the Mormons. The public cannot tour the interior, but the facade is a sight to behold.

Visit to Yosemite may be limited because of the wildfire and we may need to skip or bypass some attractions. As wildfires are Force Majeure, we will not be able to entertain any claims pertaining to missing sightseeing, relocation or any other steps we may have to take in order to guarantee a smooth operation of the tour and guarantee the safety of clients.

Yosemite Area - Carmel - Monterey - San Francisco (280 miles)
Leaving the Yosemite area, we will travel to Carmel located on the Pacific Ocean. From this quaint and charming village, we will travel along stunning 17-Mile Drive to Monterey. Continue northward to San Francisco.

Monterey was the capital of Alta California under both Spain and Mexico. It was the only port of entry for taxable goods in California. In 1846 the U.S. flag was raised over the Customs House, and California became part of the United States after the ensuing Mexican-American War.
17-Mile Drive
This breathtaking stretch of coastline along California's Monterey Peninsula takes visitors through a maze of beautiful scenery, unique wildlife, and amazing mansions. Enjoy shopping and dining along the way in addition to taking in the vistas.

In the morning, we will tour San Francisco, visiting places such as Union Square, Chinatown, Golden Gate Park, Fisherman's Wharf with a view of Alcatraz Island across the bay. Afternoon at leisure or embark on an optional tour to the village of Sausalito.

Union Square
This California Historical Landmark has become a popular tourist destination for both its historical significance and its shops and culture. The square itself is a public plaza, and the neighborhood extends for several blocks around it.
San Francisco Chinatown
San Francisco's incredibly famous Chinatown neighborhood in the oldest Chinatown in North America and the largest Chinese community outside of Asia. Established in 1848, this once-small enclave has grown to over 100,000 residents and draws tons of tourists annually.

The Extras fees can be paid directly to the tour guide in cash, credit card or travelers check in USD. The extra costs, i.e. the optional excursions are only payable if the passengers choose to join one or more of those.

Some hotels may offer complimentary breakfast to all hotel guests which is reflected in the breakfast surcharge. No refunds can be given for such complimentary meals.
Requests to add daily breakfast after departure will be subject to a service fee of $25 per room.
Health Requirements Mask mandates are changing regularly. We strongly suggest the use of masks onboard busses,
unless the driver or tour guide communicate that masks must be worn. Please always have
masks handy during your trip, as mask mandates are subject to change at any time and some
suppliers and attractions will only travelers who wear a mask.
If a passenger is displaying symptoms of a potential infection, then they will be urged to
immediately visit a local health care facility for additional testing. Such passengers will be denied
access to the motor coach and not be allowed to rejoin the group until they can provide written
documentation that they are not infected with COVID-19.
Tour Directors All Tour Directors engages to conduct one or more of our tours will receive
additional training on health and safety requirements prior to the start of their first assignment.
They will receive additional updates should local health regulations be amended or should the
CDC revise their recommendations.
Tour Directors will be requested to wear a face mask when interacting closely with travelers
within the group and with service providers.
They are instructed to alert local health authorities should a passenger
develop symptoms which may indicate a possible infection by COVID-19.
Hotels Upon arrival at a hotel, all guests may be required to complete a health questionnaire and may
be submitted to a temperature check. Social distancing may be required in all public areas of
the hotel, which may result in additional wait times at elevators and other facilities. Hotels may
not be able to provide all services and amenities as described, or only in an altered format, in
adherence to local health guidelines.
Confirmation
Immediately after submitting your reservation you will receive a receipt of booking by email. Within 72 hours of submitting your reservation you will receive a confirmation email confirming the booking status. Departures can only be guaranteed 45 days prior to the departure date (a minimum number of passengers is required to operate the tour). We are not responsible for any cancellation/change fees for flight tickets.
Redemption
You will receive an email (e-ticket) after your order was received. Complete Operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

Booking changes
A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply.
Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to Taketours by email or through web mail at Contact Us.
Cancellation penalties per person as follows:(Notification day and departure day are not counted)
Up to 91days prior to departure - 10% of total purchase amount
2-90 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
1 day prior - Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
Itinerary Variations
We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
Tour Cancellation:
We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, Taketours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers. We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
We provide pick up points as well as departure times for all Escorted Tours. We highly recommend that you arrive 15
minutes prior to the stated departure time. We are not able
to make exceptions to these locations.
This tour is escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour and/or driver guides. Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours languages (German, Dutch, Spanish, Italian and English) may be combined to operate the tours. Please refer to tour description for language
distribution or contact Customer Service for assistance.
Yes - triple as well as quadruple rooms are available. However, these rooms will have two double beds. Rollaways are subject to availability and additional cost, payable locally. Rooms with an occupancy of 5 or more are always on request.
Unless specifically stated, transfers are not included in the price of our Escorted Tours. These may be booked at an
additional cost. Please contact Customer Service for rates.
This tour requires a minimum number of passengers to operate. We reserve the right to cancel a departure 45 days prior and/or to operate a tour in a minibus should the number of participants warrant it. In the event of this occurring, you will be provided the option to take the tour on an alternative date or be refunded in full.
In fairness to all passengers, we have established a seat rotation schedule during the course of our tours. Unfortunately, we are not able to honor requests for special needs.
Optional tours are excursions offered in order to enhance your tour experience. A list of these tours will be included in your tour documentation and can be booked with your tour guide. We do not support any excursion that is not part of our authorized list. The tour guides are not responsible for reconfirming any tours bought prior to your arrival in the United States.
Tips for drivers and guides are not included in the price of our tours. We suggest the following amounts:
Drivers: $3 - $5 per person per day
Guides: $4 - $6 per person per day
Please remember that tipping should accurately reflect the quality of service rendered.
Tour prices include hotel porterage for one bag per person only. Due to space limitations we cannot guarantee that extra bags will be permitted on the coach. If space does permit however, you will be charged US$ 4 per bag per day for each additional bag. This additional charge will be collected at tour departure.
We strongly recommends that children be a minimum of 12 years old to participate in our Escorted Tours. Bookings for children under the age of 8 will not be accepted. On tours that overnight in Las Vegas, one person per room must be a minimum of 21 years old. On all other tours, one person per room must be a minimum of 18 years old.
We reserves the right to substitute alternate hotels of similar or higher quality. We also reserve the right to reverse and / or modify the itinerary. These changes will be advised one month prior to your departure date.
It will be your responsibility to join the tour if your flight has been delayed or cancelled. We will provide assistance. However, any additional charges incurred will be the responsibility of the passenger.
We will do all possible to accommodate requests for guests with disabilities but reservations cannot be automatically confirmed as not all coaches are equipped to accommodate wheelchairs and special arrangements will need to be made. Passengers needing assistance for personal needs must be accompanied by an able-bodied companion. Guests with disabilities wishing to book an escorted tour should be aware that our coaches are not equipped with lifts for wheelchairs. If the guest requires a wheelchair, it needs to be collapsible.
Please note it is the responsibility of each passenger to ensure they have the necessary documentation in order to enter the United States as well as Canada. Certain nationalities may be required to possess a visa for entry into Canada from the United States. Should clients not have the necessary documentation they will not be allowed entry into Canada and will liable for any additional costs incurred.
