Today join your guide for a half-day tour of Lima, the charming capital of Peru.

During the tour, you will explore Lima’s beautiful squares and historic streets. The visit begins at Love Park (Parque del Amor) in the Miraflores district, then, continue with an exterior visit to Huaca Pucllana Archaeological Site. Next, head to the historic center and visit Plaza de Armas, the city’s main square, where the Presidential Palace and City Hall are located. You will also visit Lima Cathedral, followed by a visit or exterior view of Santo Domingo Convent, known for its beautiful cloisters. This historic convent is associated with Saint Martin de Porres and Saint Rose of Lima, who walked through its elegant corridors in the 17th century.
Restrictions: Lima Cathedral is closed on Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings. If the cathedral is closed, the visit will be replaced with the Lima Art Museum (MALI).

Take your own flight from Lima to Cusco. Please note that the flight is not included. If you wish to join the Cusco city tour in the afternoon, please arrange a flight that arrives in Cusco before 11:30 AM. Upon arrival at Cusco airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, join a guided city tour of Cusco. The tour includes an exterior view of the city from San Cristobal Plaza, a visit to San Pedro Market to sample local products, and visits to the Korikancha Temple (Temple of the Sun) and Santo Domingo Church. Walk through the San Blas artisan neighborhood and Hatun Rumiyoc Street, passing by the Inca Roca Palace (now the Archbishop's Palace) and the famous Twelve Angle Stone. Continue to the Main Square and visit the Cusco Cathedral, a masterpiece of colonial architecture. Overnight in Cusco.

    Twelve Angled Stone is about halfway down the street Hatunrumivoc,which is famous for it's Inca walls where huge stones are precisely carved to fit together without mud or concrete.

    Cusco Main Square

    Cusco Main Square is the historic heart of the city, surrounded by the Cathedral and the Church of the Society of Jesus, bustling with activity.

    This cathedral, also called the Basilica of the Assumption of the Virgin, was completed in 1654, and is located in the Plaza de Armas. It contains many historically significant objects and relics.

Day 4: Cusco - Sacred Valley (127 km)

Today we will visit the Sacred Valley, one of the most important areas of the Inca Empire.

Our first stop is Chinchero, a beautiful traditional town famous for its Inca ruins, colonial church, and local weaving traditions. You may see how local women dye, spin, and weave alpaca wool using ancient Inca techniques.

Next, we will visit Moray, an impressive Inca archaeological site with large circular terraces. These terraces were likely used as an agricultural laboratory to test crops in different microclimates.

After lunch at a local restaurant, we will continue to Ollantaytambo, an important Inca military, religious, and agricultural center. We will visit highlights such as the Temple of the Sun, the Ñusta Bath, and other historic sites. The views from the top of Ollantaytambo offer a perfect ending to the day.

Note: Please bring only a small overnight bag today. For the train, each passenger is allowed only one handbag or backpack, weighing no more than 5 kg / 11 lbs, with total dimensions not exceeding 62 inches / 157 cm. Please carry your original passport. Extra luggage should be stored at your hotel in Cusco.

    The small rustic town of Chinchero lies off the main road between Cusco and Urubamba. It sits at 3762m above sea level. It is towered over by the Vilcabamba range and the snowcapped peak of Salcantay. There is a great display of Inca architecture, ruins and megalithic carved rocks. Chinchero is home to the famous Peruvian weaving and also has a colouful market. Chinchero is also believed to be the birthplace of the rainbow.

Day 5: Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu - Cusco (131 km)

Take the train to Machu Picchu, the Lost City of the Incas and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival, a guide will assist you with the bus ride up to the Machu Picchu archaeological site. Enjoy a guided tour of the citadel, including the terraces, ceremonial areas, and residential sectors. After the guided tour, you will have free time to explore on your own. Take the bus back down to the town for lunch. In the afternoon, return by train to Cusco and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Cusco.

Day 6: Andahuaylillas - Raqchi - Pucará - Puno (340 km)

Travel by tourist bus to Puno. Along the way, we will stop to visit the attractions on this beautiful route. First stop: Andahuaylillas to visit its beautiful church, and the walls and narrow streets of the Raqchi Temple, an outstanding temple. At lunchtime, we will have the opportunity to enjoy the natural border between Cusco and Puno, admiring the Andean mountain scenery at La Raya Pass, the highest point of the route. Before reaching our final destination, we will visit the Pucará Museum and have the opportunity to acquire the classic local ceramic bull. We will arrive in Puno in the afternoon and then go directly to the hotel.

Day 7: Puno - Uros - Lake Titicaca - Puno (32 km)

We will spend the whole day exploring Lake Titicaca. The largest lake in South America and the highest navigable lake in the world. The sky is exceptionally clear, the dazzling sun floods the entire plateau, and the deep lake shimmers with gold. The horizon stretches endlessly, and the landscape is dotted with ancient funeral towers and ruins of colonial churches. We will spend the whole day exploring Lake Titicaca. First, we will visit the Uros people, friendly inhabitants of the islands built of totora reeds. Then we will go to Taquile Island, where the inhabitants still maintain their ancestral traditions and wear colorful traditional costumes. This is the best opportunity for photography, exploring the island and enjoying the most beautiful lake views. On the island, we will have a local ethnic lunch. In the afternoon, return to Puno for rest.

Terms & Condition

  • Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. The time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through webmail at Contact Us .
  • The cancellation and modification policies for the Hotel Luna Salada are relatively stringent
    Reservations confirmed during the rainy season are non-refundable and non-changeable,
    Reservations confirmed during the dry season, the hotel's actual transmitted policies on cancellations and modifications shall prevail.

    Cancellation penalties per person (request day and departure day are not counted, and the amount is total purchase amount)
    90 days or more prior to departure - 30% of of the total purchase amount.
    60-89 days or more prior to departure - 75% of of the total purchase amount.
    Within 60 days prior to departure or no show - 100% of the total purchase amount.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every effort to maintain the normal operation.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of the tour.
    Holiday special policies: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year, National Day or other long weekend holidays are the peak season. Air tickets, transportation, meals and hotel accommodation during the peak season shall not be changed in name, date and itinerary, and the fees are not refundable.

  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserve the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure of the tour, TakeTours only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
    We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
