Itinerary
After arrival at the Lima International Airport (LIM), we will be transferred to our hotel for the accommodation.
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel for a tour of Lima's historic center. Visit Aliaga House, a colonial mansion over 500 years old. Explore the UNESCO-listed Plaza Mayor and the Lima Cathedral. Finally, visit the Larco Museum, which houses an extensive collection of pre-Columbian gold and silver objects and art.
Lima, Peru
Lima, the capital city of Peru, was founded by conquistador Francisco Pizarro in 1535. This city's historic places include the National University of San Marcos, which was established in 1551 and is the oldest university in the Americas.
Casa Aliaga
Casa Aliaga is a colonial mansion granted in 1535 by chief conquistador Francisco Pizarro to one of his captains, Jerónimo de Aliaga. This is the only house from that time still belonging to the same family.
Plaza de Armas
Also Plaza Mayor, located in the Historic Centre of Lima, it is surrounded by the Government Palace, Cathedral of Lima, Archbishop's Palace of Lima, the Municipal Palace, and the Palace of the Union.
Cathedral Basilica of Lima
A Roman Catholic cathedral located in the Plaza Mayor of downtown Lima constructed in 1535 - 1649.
Larco Museum
Larco Museum, located in the traditional Pueblo Libre district and housed in a beautifully restored viceregal mansion built over a seventh-century pre-Columbian pyramid. The museum boasts the most complete pre-Hispanic collection of gold and silver artefacts, as well as pieces of erotic art.
You will be transferred from your hotel to Lima Airport to take a flight to Cusco. Upon arrival in Cusco, you will be escorted to your selected hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a tour of the enchanting and magical city of Cusco, once the capital of the Inca Empire.
First, visit the Santo Domingo Convent, located within the Coricancha Temple. Next, head to the Cathedral of Santo Domingo, the main church of Cusco. Then, explore the ruins of the Sacsayhuaman Fortress in the hills of Cusco, followed by a visit to the Qenqo Archaeological Site. After that, stroll through the Puca Pucara Military Complex and the Tambomachay Ruins, known as the Inca Baths. Finally, return to your hotel.
Note: It is recommended that you book the earliest flight from Lima to Cusco, arrival no later than 10:30am.
Cusco, Peru
This city once served as the capital of the Inca Empire. Many of its most popular sights are the ruins of this once-great people, such as the famous "lost city" of Machu Picchu. Cuzo itself also has many sights.
Coricancha (Santo Domingo Convent)
Coricancha was the most important Inca temple dedicated to the sun god, later transformed into the Santo Domingo Convent by Spanish colonizers, showcasing a unique blend of Inca and colonial architecture in Cusco.
Cuzco Cathedral
This cathedral, also called the Basilica of the Assumption of the Virgin, was completed in 1654, and is located in the Plaza de Armas. It contains many historically significant objects and relics.
Sacsayhuaman
Sacsayhuaman is strategically built on a hill overlooking Cuzco and famous for its enormous carved stones, some of them standing over 9m/30ft high and weighing over 350 tons.
Qenko
An archaeological site in the Sacred Valley of Peru located in the Cusco Region. The site was declared a Cultural Heritage of the Cusco Region by the National Institute of Culture. It is one of the largest huacas (holy places) in the Cusco Region. Many huacas were based on naturally occurring rock formations. It was believed to be a place where sacrifices and mummification took place.
Puka Pukara
In the ancient Quechan language, the name of this set of ruins near Cuzco mean "the red fortress." It features large, terraced walls that sit on a hill overlooking the surrounding valley.
Tambomachay
One of the many archaeological sites located in and around the city of Cuzco, the exact purpose of this facility is still uncertain. It is comprised of a series of aqueducts, canals, and waterfalls that cut through terraced rocks.
After breakfast, your guide will pick you up and drive along the Sacred Valley to the Moray archaeological site, known for its mysterious concentric circular terraces and different microclimates. Then continue to Maras to visit the pre-Columbian salt mines still in operation. The salt pans create a stunning landscape. Afterwards, return to your hotel.
Note: During the rainy season (December to March), the salt mines may be inaccessible and the tour may be replaced by a visit to Chinchero (South Valley).
Moray, Peru
Moray is an Inca archaeological site featuring massive concentric circular terraces, believed to have been an agricultural laboratory for experimenting with crops at different microclimates.

The Maras Salt Mines are a stunning network of thousands of terraced salt pans in the Sacred Valley, in continuous use since Inca times.
You will be transferred to Ollantaytambo station to board the train to Aguas Calientes (a 1.5-hour journey). Upon arrival, take a bus (25 minutes) to Machu Picchu, the 'Lost City of the Incas', a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Explore the archaeological site. After the visit, return by bus to Aguas Calientes for an included lunch. Overnight in Aguas Calientes.
Machu Picchu, Peru
The famous citadel of the Inca sits atop a scraggy mountain peak overlooking the valley that was sacred to those people. These ruins feature many temples and the famous terraced-gardens the Inca developed for agriculture in the Andes.
Aguas Calientes, Peru
This town sits 20 minutes down the mountain from Machu Picchu. Its name, "hot waters" in English, derives from the presence of numerous thermal springs in the area that make thisvillage a great place to relax after a hike.
Enjoy a free morning in Aguas Calientes. You may choose to visit Machu Picchu again (additional ticket required). We recommend waking up early to see the sunrise over the mountains. In the afternoon, take the train back to Ollantaytambo station, where a vehicle will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel in Cusco.

- The current restrictions on visits to Machu Picchu allow a maximum stay of 4 hours in the citadel (2 hours and a half accompanied by a guide).
- To help preserve the Machu Picchu Historical Sanctuary and maintain its World Heritage status, the Ministry of Culture has designated various visitor circuits. The specific circuit and schedule will be assigned based on availability at the time your reservation is confirmed.
- The following objects are forbidden: professional cameras that require lights and tripods, or with telephoto lenses heavier than 2 kilos (in order to use them, special authorization is needed, as well as the payment of an additional fee), drones, selfie sticks, sprays, high heels, walking sticks without rubber tip, banners and posters, sharp objects and backpacks bigger than 40cm x 35 cm x 20 cm

- Carry the same document that you presented to the agency, given that the train tickets and entrance to Machu Picchu will be issued with the same information
- In all train services to Machu Picchu, the passenger can carry only hand luggage (backpack, bag, or briefcase) weighing no more than 5kg / 11lb on the train to/from Machu Picchu. You will find your luggage at the chosen hotel. Allowed size: 62 linear inches 157cm (height + length + width)
- What do I need to bring? Comfortable and light clothing is recommended for visiting the coastal areas of Peru, while for the high Andean area; use of warm clothing is ALSO recommended. It is not recommended that visitors wear sleeveless shirts, shorts, short skirts or short clothes when visiting religious temples or official buildings. Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat and mosquito repellent can be very useful during your stay.

Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.

Once confirmed, the air tickets, train tickets, and Machu Picchu tickets from third-party companies are Non changeable and refundable .
Cancellation penalties per person (request day and departure day are not counted, and the amount is total purchase amount - third-party companies amount)
40 days or more prior to departure - $100/person.
30-39 days or more prior to departure - 30% of remaining amount.
19-29 days prior to departure - 50% of remaining amount.
Within 18 days prior to departure or no show - 100% of the total purchase amount.
Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every effort to maintain the normal operation.
The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of the tour.
Holiday special policies: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year, National Day or other long weekend holidays are the peak season. Air tickets, transportation, meals and hotel accommodation during the peak season shall not be changed in name, date and itinerary, and the fees are not refundable.
