The hotel pickup in Maceio worked well both ways. A short boat ride took us to Duas Barras beach, where the water was clear and good for swimming. Lunch wasn't included, so I grabbed a meal at one of the restaurants near Marape Dunes.

Itinerary
To begin this tour, guests will be picked up from their Maceio hotels. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding pickup and drop-off times and locations. Located on the southern Alagoas coastline, Duas Barras is located in the municipality of Jequia da Praia. A short boat ride will take us to this enchanting white sand beach. This beach is located at the mout of the River Jequia and its inviting waters, an ideal swimming location in our own little corner of paradise. The area is home to friendly monkeys, other regional wildlife, and lush vegetation. The dunes and cliffs were sculpted by the elements and provide a magnificent backdrop for a leisurely stroll along the beach. We will also see Dunas de Marape, a beach complex surrounded by mangroves, where we can find several dining options. After spending the day in leisure at the beach, we will return to Maceio, where guests will be returned to their hotels to end this tour.

This port city in Brazil is named for its many lakes and estuaries. The highlight of Maceio for travelers is its coastline. Miles of white sand beaches and crystal clear blue or emerald water attract visitors from all over.
Duas Barras
This beautiful white sand beach is located in the Brazilian state of Alagoas, a short trip south from the city of Maceio. There is a great wealth of wildlife in this area, from monkeys to sea critters that inhabit the waters.
Dunas de Marape
One of the beautiful white sand beaches in the area around Maceio, Dunas de Marape is home to some delicious restaurants and beachfront bars. It is consistently ranked among the most beautiful beaches in the country.
