Itinerary
Depart from Munich in the morning for the Magic Forest. Pass through the town of Ramsau and head to Lake Hintersee, one of the three lakes of Konigssee. It is quiet and serene, with mist swirling around, like a fairyland. Next to it is the Magic Forest, where you can get off and take a 15‑minute walk to experience the charm of the Berchtesgaden National Park. Lunch at 12:30. Then arrive at Konigssee at 13:30, queue for a boat cruise, with a stop at St. Bartholomew's Church, often called the red‑domed church, which is a landmark of Konigssee. In winter, if the boat is not operating, we will take a cable car at your own expense up to Mount Jenner (JennerBahn) at an altitude of 1,874 metres, from where you can enjoy the best panoramic view over Konigssee and the entire Berchtesgaden area. Return to Munich at 16:30, arriving at 18:30. (If the Königssee boat ticket time is scheduled for the morning, go to Konigssee first for a peaceful boat cruise, and after lunch visit Lake Hintersee and the Magic Forest.)
Berchtesgadener Land, Germany
A Landkreis (district) in Bavaria, Germany. It is bounded by the district of Traunstein and by the state of Austria.
Magic Forest
Magic forest is located in the German border town of Berchtesgaden in the Ramschau area, covering an area of about 0.75 square kilometers. The magic forest was named in the 1820s and 1830s and became known as the magic forest because of its romantic atmosphere created by landslides, forests and streams.
Konigssee
A natural lake in the extreme southeast Berchtesgadener Land district of the German state of Bavaria, near the Austrian border. Most of the lake is within the Berchtesgaden National Park.
Kirche St. Bartholomae
Located in the middle of Konigssee, near the lake, it is a baroque Catholic pilgrimage church. The church originated in the 12th century, famous for its special shape. The red dome shaped like an onion stands on the lake, with the green mountains and green lake. The chapel takes its name from saint bartholomew, one of the twelve apostles, who is considered the patron saint of alpine farmers and milkers.

Additional Notes
- On December 24, the boat service on Konigssee is suspended. Guests departing on this tour date will have their itinerary changed to taking the cable car up to Mount Jenner to overlook Konigssee. If you wish to book this departure date, please contact customer service to change the ticket type and price.
