In the morning, we will depart from Paris, journeying through the picturesque French countryside as we survey the inspirational landscape of Normandy. Our first stop will be in Caen to visit the Caen Memorial Museum, also known as the "Peace Museum," which holds a wealth of information about the role Normandy played in World War II and the D-Day Invasions. We'll enjoy a tour of the museum followed by lunch. For the rest of the day, we will visit the historic landing beaches of Normandy, like Ponte du Hoc and Omaha Beach. Then, we will visit the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial. If the cemetery is closed, we will stop for pictures at Arromanches and the Canadian Memorial. We will spend the ride back to Paris contemplating the history we experienced during the day. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding pickup and drop-off times and locations.
