Day 1: Paris

Welcome to Paris! On arrival at the airport we shall be waiting to transfer you to the hotel. You can enjoy your free time until the tour starts, information about the meeting place and start time can be found on the information boards in the hotel reception area.

Day 2: Paris-Versailles-Paris (34 km)

We come into contact with the history of France in the immense Palace of Versailles (admission not included) with its beautiful gardens. After that, on our way back to Paris, we head to Montmartre, and take a cable car (included) to go up to this bohemian neighborhood known for its painters, artists and cabarets. To contemplate the beauty of the impressive avenues and monuments of Paris, you will have the city tour with a local guide. Return to the hotel. Optionally you can attend the variety show.​

    Louis IV's opulent mansion is one of the most famous symbols of French political history and power. This UNESCO World Heritage Site was the center of French politics for nearly a century, until the beginning of the French Revolution.

    Moulin Rouge Show

    The famous Moulin Rouge - where the hit musical movie got its name - was founded in 1889, and is credited with popularizing cabaret performances and the can-can dance. It is marked by the red windmill on the roof.

Day 3: Paris

We will have a scenic guided tour of Paris. We will have the opportunity to climb up to the second floor of Eiffel Tower and take a boat cruise along the River Seine. We will enjoy a free afternoon.

Note: Sometimes queues to climb the Eiffel Tower are long. For organizational reasons, if deemed appropriate, the climb can be made at a different moment of the day.

    One of the most famous monuments in the world, the Eiffel Tower has been a symbol of Paris, France, and Europe since 1889. It was erected as the entryway to the 1889 World's Fair, and has been wowing visitors ever since.

    River Seine

    The River Seine is perhaps the most important waterway in Paris. More than 37 bridges cross its waters within the city alone, and cruises along the River pass by almost every important location and sight in the city.

Day 4: Paris - Semur - Beaune - Lyon (415 km)

Today we travel to the center of France, to the Bourgogne region, famous for its wines. Making a stop in Beaune, located in the center of the Bourgogne region, with its streets full of flowers, hospice and wine museum all points of interest. Continuing on, we will arrive to Lyon in the mid-afternoon, the capital of Roman Gallia on the banks of the Rhone (its historic center has been declared a World Heritage site). We include a funicular climb to Notre Dame de Fourviere where we have a great view of the city. Enjoy some leisure time to walk around.


Note: in some cases a part of the group will be accommodated in Chambery, a city near Lyon. In these cases we will leave at the evening for CHAMBERY and accommodation. We will then have some time early in the morning to visit the capital of Savoy, a medieval-style city with beautiful historic center and a large castle.

    Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourviere

    A minor basilica in Lyon. It was built with private funds between 1872 and 1884 in a dominant position overlooking the city. The site it occupies was once the Roman forum of Trajan.

Day 5: Lyon - Geneva - Neuchatel - Zurich (385 km)

A beautiful stage awaits us as we set off for Switzerland. Arrival in Geneva. The guide will take us to the Palais des Nations (the European headquarters of the United Nations), the beautiful “Jardin Anglais” (with its quaint flower clock), and the “Jet d´Eau”, the tallest fountain in Europe.

After lunch, we will continue travelling through Switzerland by the beautiful Leman and Neuchatel lakes. We will drive the scenic road alongside the three large lakes, with their magnificent vineyards overlooking the mountains. We will stop in Neuchatel, where you can enjoy a walk by the lake, the historic town center or visit its beautiful, 10th century castle. We will then head to Zurich. Arrival in the late afternoon.

Note: depending on the number of passengers travelling from Geneva to Zurich, this part of the trip might be done by train - in which case, there will be no stop in Neuchatel.

    Palace of Nations

    From 1929 to 1938, this building in Geneva served as the headquarters of the League of Nations, the predecessor to the United Nations. The UN repurposed the building beginning in the wake of World War II.

    Made in 1955 as a testament to the history of Geneva's renowned watchmakers, this flower clock has a diameter of five meters. The decorative flowers are changed to match the season of the year.

    The Geneva Water Fountain

    Jet d'Eau, literally meaning 'water jet', is a huge Fountain on the Geneva Lake. It became a remarkable symbol for the city, therefore, it was amplified and relocated to the center of the Lake. The Fountain presents and gives the power to the place! Every time you look on its majesty you are reminded that you are in the powerful and well-organized country. Soon after being finished, the fountain became the symbol of strength, ambition and vitality of Geneva and Switzerland. Its strong engines pump 500 liters of water per second to the height of 140 meters.

    Neuchatel, called Neuenburg in German, has a rich cultural and architectural past. The Castle and the Collegiate Church are the city's landmarks.

Day 6: Zurich - Rapperswill - Zurich (53 km)

With our guide, we will have a tour of Zurich, the most populated city of Switzerland, and the country’s financial and cultural capital. The city of the banks has twice been declared the city with the best quality of life in the world. Afterwards, we will include a cruise of almost two hours on Lake Zurich. The boat makes brief stops to allow us to see the villages on the way. We get off in Rapperswill, a picturesque little village overlooked by its mediaeval castle. We go back to Zurich by train and appreciate the efficiency and punctuality of the Swiss railways.

Note: Depending on the number of travelers, the transfers to the center and from the station may be made on public transport.

Day 7: Zurich - Grindelwald - Lucerne - Zurich (183 km)

Today we will see beautiful landscapes with high mountains and lakes in the region of Interlaken. We will stop in Grinderwald where we will have time for a coffee before taking the cable car up to mountain. We will walk along the winding path which will lead us to the "footbridge over the empty". Dare to walk along the bridge amongst the fantastic scenery enjoying glaciers all around us. We will have a lunch up the mountain before heading back down. We will then continue to Lucerne. In the evening we will have time to stroll around, enjoying the city and taking dinner before we return to the hotel in Zurich

Day 8: Zurich - Lugano - Morcote - Milan (10530 km)

We will leave Zurich early in the morning and cut across the Alps in order to reach the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland. Alongside the route we will get to see beautiful lakes and snow-capped mountains. Lugano. Arrival in the cosmopolitan capital of the Italian Switzerland built next to its beautiful lake. Time to have a stroll and grab lunch. Next, we will reach the enchanting little town of Morcote famous for its flowery stone houses. We will then travel to Italy. Arrival in Milan where the guide will take us to the impressive Duomo Square. Here you will find a variety of local and international restaurants to have dinner at. Transfer to the hotel.

Day 9: Milan - Pisa - Rome (546 km)

Today we continue our journey towards Pisa. On a little tourist train, we will travel to the Piazza Dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles), where there will be time to admire one of the most alluring and beautiful art complexes in Italy, including the well-known Leaning Tower of Pisa. Then, we continue to Rome, arriving at the end of the day.

Day 10: Rome (7 km)

In the morning, we will have a scenic tour of Rome. We will enter the tiny state of the Vatican, visit St. Peter's Basilica, Roman Colosseum. In the evening we will transfer to the Trastevere area for a stroll in the narrow cobbled streets of the district with hidden treasures, such as some modest medieval churches, small shops with the most peculiar of objects or scenes of daily life. Many trattorias (informal Italian eating establishments) and osterias (inns) imbued with the Italian spirit will be ready to serve you local dishes. Other restaurants serving Indian, Chinese and international food can be found in this area. Return to hotel.

Day 11: Rome - Florence (230 km)

We will leave Rome for Florence. This route is graced with beautiful landscapes. Upon arrival in Florence, we will head straight to Piazzale Michelangelo. In the evening we will have a tour with a local expert, and walk through the historic centre, taking in places such as the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo and Piazza della Signoria. Free time to explore. In the evening, you can dine at your favorite restaurant. In this district you can find restaurants serving Italian, Indian, Chinese and international food.

    In this opportunity, you will have the chance to make a magnificent dinner in a Tuscan atmosphere. A group of musicians will set this beautiful evening. We can taste the typical products of the region. During dinner we can also enjoy live music, a pianist singer from Fiorentino will perform national and international pieces of music.

Today we enjoy stunning mountain landscapes while crossing the Apennine Mountains. We will arrive in Venice and take the boat and cross the Giudecca to the Island of Venice. With a local guide, we will visit the St. Mark's Square and enter the Basilica.Afterwards, we will visit the Murano glass factory. At the end of the afternoon, we will have the chance to enjoy own free time or eat dinner in the Mestre district, where you can choose the type of restaurant that you prefer (Indian, Oriental, Italian, etc.).
