Itinerary
Arrive at Puerto Maldonado (flight must arrive before 12:00). Check in, then enjoy a buffet lunch. After lunch, begin a rainforest hike from the ecological center. Walk along the trails to learn about the complex Amazon ecosystem. At dusk, take a small boat ride to experience the changing environment as day gives way to night, observing how diurnal animals yield to nocturnal ones. In the evening, enjoy dinner featuring local Amazon ingredients. Return to your room and fall asleep to the sounds of the rainforest.
Puerto Maldonado, Peru
A city in southeastern Peru in the Amazon rainforest 55 kilometres west of the Bolivian border; located at the confluence of the Tambopata and Madre de Dios rivers, the latter of which joins the Madeira River as a tributary of the Amazon.
Amazon Rain Forest
After a buffet breakfast, visit a lake located within the national park. Reach the lake via a rainforest trail, then paddle a dugout canoe silently along the creek to the lake. This lake is home to many birds, endangered giant otters, red howler monkeys, red-and-green macaws, and more. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, climb an invigorating trail featuring a system of seven hanging bridges—a safe and exquisite path offering a high vantage point over the rainforest. Ascend to the observation tower and watch for toucans, woodpeckers, monkeys, and sloths. After dark, take a night walk with flashlights to appreciate species active only at night. Dinner is served from 19:00. Note: activities may vary depending on weather conditions.
On your final morning, wake up to the sounds of the rainforest, watching parakeets and monkeys in the trees. Enjoy breakfast, then check out. Transfer to the airport can be arranged according to your flight time. Please book a flight departing after 12:00.

The cancellation and modification policies for the Hotel Luna Salada are relatively stringent

Cancellation penalties per person (request day and departure day are not counted, and the amount is total purchase amount)
90 days or more prior to departure - 30% of of the total purchase amount.
60-89 days or more prior to departure - 75% of of the total purchase amount.
Within 60 days prior to departure or no show - 100% of the total purchase amount.
Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every effort to maintain the normal operation.
The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of the tour.
Holiday special policies: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year, National Day or other long weekend holidays are the peak season. Air tickets, transportation, meals and hotel accommodation during the peak season shall not be changed in name, date and itinerary, and the fees are not refundable.
