As you arrive at Salt Lake City International Airport, please take the airport shuttle bus and self check-in the hotel.

Utah's gorgeous capital city sits amidst the mountains of the American Southwest on the shores of the breathtaking Great Salt Lake. The city is steeped in history and architecture in addition to wondrous vistas and scenery.

Salt Lake City Sightseeing Tour

Meet your guide at SLC Airport between 8:00am-2:00pm, followed by a city tour starting at 2:00pm, featuring exterior visits to Temple Square (60min), exterior visits to Utah State Capitol (30min), and the Great Salt Lake (30min)

Temple Square (Outside Visit)

Approximately ten acres in size, Temple Square is the center of religious activity for the Church of Latter Day Saints, housing the Temple and Tabernacle that are central to the religion.

Utah State Capitol (Outside Visit)

The home of all of the governmental processes for the state of Utah, the Utah State Capitol in Salt Lake City. The building is done in the ornate neoclassical revival style, purposefully reminiscent of the nation capitol in DC.

Great Salt Lake

The largest saltwater lake in the Western Hemisphere is the famous Great Salt Lake in northern Utah. People visit the lake's namesake, Salt Lake City, every year to see the natural wonder and tour its shores.

Day 2: Salt Lake City - Yellowstone - West Yellowstone (610 miles)

In the morning, we depart Salt Lake City with joyful hearts for Yellowstone National Park. After approximately 4.5 hours, we arrive at West Yellowstone town, where you can sample local cuisine or visit gift shops for souvenirs. If time permits, try their unique Yellowstone bison, venison or trout. Next, we proceed to Yellowstone Bear World - the park's only drive-through wildlife preserve. Then enter Yellowstone National Park. We overnight in West Yellowstone.

Yellowstone Bear World

This drive-through wildlife park is home to a litany of large and rare local animals, including Rocky Mountain Elk, Bison, White-tail Deer, Mule Deer, Rocky Mountain Goats, Moose and of course American Black Bear, Grizzly Bear and Gray Wolves.

Mammoth Hot Springs

This large complex of hot springs is impressive both for its unique beauty as well as its scale. Formed hundreds of thousands of years ago by volcanic and seismic activity, these springs are one of Yellowstone's most popular spots.

Norris Geyser Basin

Yellowstone National Park is full of areas like this - geyser basins - large, open areas where geothermic pressure from below the ground's surface force up various geysers and springs. The Norris Basin is one of the more accessible.

West Yellowstone, MT

West Yellowstone is a town in Gallatin County, Montana, adjacent to Yellowstone National Park. Because of its proximity to Yellowstone National Park, the town receives a large amount of tourism every year.

Day 3: Yellowstone

In the morning, we head to the Grand Prismatic Spring, Yellowstone's "Eye", ascending the observation deck to capture panoramic views of the rainbow-hued hot spring. Next, we visit the Sapphire Pool at Biscuit Basin and the wildlife observation area at Hayden Valley. Our professional guide will take you to the best photography spot at Yellowstone Canyon Falls to admire the 33-meter waterfall resembling an oil painting. At Artist Point, overlook the 300-foot-deep colorful canyon and capture the rock walls that resemble a peacock's tail. In the afternoon, we visit the punctually erupting Old Faithful Geyser, concluding at the dreamlike sapphire-blue Morning Glory Pool. Before sunset, we can leisurely dine at a cozy restaurant in West Yellowstone, savoring sizzling steaks and fresh local beer while watching the sunset paint the sky crimson.

The itinerary will be flexibly adjusted according to weather and road conditions to ensure optimal experience.

Grand Prismatic Hot Spring

The third largest hot spring in the world, the Grand Prismatic Hot Spring gets its color from bacteria around its rim that feed off of the mineral-rich water. In the summer months, the hot spring is a vivid red-orange shade.

Biscuit Basin

Three miles north of Old Faithful is Biscuit Basin, named for the unusual biscuit-like deposits formerly surrounding Sapphire Pool. Following the 1959 Hebgen Lake earthquake, Sapphire erupted, and the "biscuits" were blown away.

Duration: Approx. 20 Minutes

Hayden Valley

A large, sub-alpine valley in Yellowstone National Park straddling the Yellowstone River between Yellowstone Falls and Yellowstone Lake. The valley is well known as one of the best locations to view wildlife in Yellowstone.

Upper Falls

Upper Falls is a 110ft waterfall on the Yellowstone River just upstream from the famous Lower Falls at the head of the Grand Canyon.

Artist Point

Named after the famous sketches of the waterfalls by Thomas Moran (but not actually the location where the sketched were done) this beautiful location showcases one of the most famous views in Yellowstone National Park.

Old Faithful Geyser

Old Faithful is a cone geyser in the Upper Geyser Basin of Yellowstone National Park. It is one of the park's most well-known natural features, and is famous for its predictability. It generally erupts every 91 minutes.

Morning Glory Pool

This hot spring in the Upper geyser Basin of Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming is famous for it's bright red-orange and blue-green coloring. These colors come from the bacteria which inhabit the geyser's interior.

Day 4: Yellowstone - Grand Teton National Park - Jackson Hole - Salt Lake City (330 miles)

The morning begins at Yellowstone Lake and West Thumb Geyser Basin, where thermal springs meet the lake. We then explore Grand Teton National Park, photographing mountain reflections at Jackson Lake and the iconic Oxbow Bend. Lunch features authentic cowboy culture in Jackson Hole town. Afternoon showcases the Teton Range panorama with its 4,198m peaks and return to Salt Lake City.

Yellowstone Lake

The West Thumb Geyser Basin is the largest geyser basin at Yellowstone Lake, and an impressive area of geothermal activity that contains hot springs, mud pots, and geysers-- some of which are even in the lake itself.

Grand Teton National Park, WY

Grand Teton National Park is is located in the Rocky Mountains, Northwest Wyoming. Grand Teton National Park is noted for its stunning mountain vistas, its shimmering alpine lakes and its abundant wildlife.

Duration: Approx. 1 Hour 30 Minutes

Jackson Lake

This lake in the heart of Grand Teton National is fed primarily by the Snake River. The lake is full of numerous species of fish and is the remnant of glacial activity thousands of years ago.

Duration: Approx. 20 Minutes

Oxbow Bend Overlook

Oxbow Bend Overlook is located near Highway 89 on Snake River, just before heading towards Moran. The river makes a big turn here, resembling the shape of a curved bison horn, hence the name Oxbow Bend. Oxbow Bend is a famous spot for observing wild animals in Grand Teton, as well as a must-visit location for all photography enthusiasts. It is the best place to admire Mt. Moran.

Jackson Hole, WY

Famous frontier town, located at the crossing of Grand Teton and Rocky Mountains, it became a heaven for outdoors sports enthusiast. The widely praised Elk Antler Arches Park, with its four arches made with thousands of elk antlers is a must see.

Day 5: Salt Lake City

Today is Free Day. You may go to Salt Lake Downtown for sightseeing, or take hotel's shuttle to Airport.

Departure: After arriving at Salt Lake City Airport, guests should arrange their own transportation to the hotel. Complimentary airport shuttle service is provided by the hotel. Refer to your tour documents or contact customer service pre-departure for specific hotel details.

Additional Note

Minors or Pregnant Women: Minors/children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult to join this tour. Unaccompanied minors/children are not permitted. For safety reasons, our company does not recommend pregnant women to join small group tours.
Luggage: Due to vehicle restrictions, each guest may bring one 26-inch suitcase. Excess luggage responsibility lies with the guest. Free storage is provided in departure cities for oversized bags (locks provided; key fee payable. We're not liable for lost keys).
Child Safety Seat: For children under 8, you must notify us when booking (provide age) to pre-arrange seats ($20/use). Unreported cases may cause delays; guests bear all costs (rentals, legal fines, license penalties, etc.).
Hotel Deposit: Each group must present a valid credit/debit card at check-in for deposit (amount/method per hotel policy). Refunds take 7-14(U.S.)/14-21(int'l) business days post-checkout (subject to bank processing). We assist with inquiries but don't oversee refunds.
No outside National Park/attraction tickets permitted. Guests using personal tickets will forfeit our transportation services for that day and must arrange their own transit.
Smoking and using self-heating food are strictly prohibited in U.S. hotels. Violators will face fines of $200-$250 and may bear legal consequences.

Redemption

Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your e-ticket. You must print and bring e-ticket(s) on your trip, as they serve as proof of purchase.

Booking and Reservation
All tours are for early booking, tour operator suggests the each passenger should book tour at least 3 weeks before departure date. Passenger may make reservation via email; however, seats will not be assigned until the deposit has been paid. At time of reservation, passenger may require to provide name, phone number and address and specify designated tour and date of travel.All seats are pre-assigned with numbers; seat assignment is based on a first come first serve basis after down payment.
Travel Documents
Each passenger must carry a valid travel document. (Valid visa for countries needed) (E.g. Green Card, Passport, Re-Entry Permit, and etc.) Tour operator is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items.
Cancellation penalties per person (request day and departure day are not counted)
16 days or more prior to departure - - No penalty.
11-15 days or more prior to departure - 35% of total purchase amount.
7-10 days prior to departure - 55% of total purchase amount.
Within 6 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
Day of departure no show or late - 100% per person.
Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a scheduled trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every effort to maintain normal operations.
The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of the tour.
Broading Time and Location
All passengers must arrive 15 minutes before departure time. All passengers must show photo ID and boarding pass or tickets for boarding; absolutely no boarding without tickets. Departure time and boarding location will be confirmed after reservation is made.
Travel Insurance
Tour operator is not responsible for any loss of or damage to personal items, or personal injury that may occur on or during the tour. It is optional that passengers to buy travel insurance, for more information, please consult your travel agent.
Itinerary Variations
We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
Tour Cancellation
We reserve the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure of the tour, Taketours only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
