Our driver will pick you up at Calama Airport and transfer you to San Pedro de Atacama. After arriving, check into the hotel and enjoy free time to explore the driest desert in the world and experience the local culture. Meals are on your own.
Day 2:
San Pedro de Atacama - Toconao - Salar de Atacama - Laguna Miscanti and Miñiques - San Pedro de Atacama (73 km)

After breakfast at the hotel, drive 40 km south to the village of Toconao (altitude 2,470 m) to visit the San Lucas Church (built 1744) and admire the liparite stone architecture. Continue 20 km to Laguna Chaxa in the Salar de Atacama to observe flamingos and other birds. Drive 70 km to the high-altitude lakes Miscanti and Miñiques (4,200 m) in Los Flamencos National Reserve, surrounded by volcanoes. Return to San Pedro de Atacama.

Early morning departure (4:30-6:00 am) to El Tatio geysers (4,320 m) to witness the most active eruption at sunrise, with steam columns up to 10 meters. In the afternoon (14:30-16:00 pm), visit Valle de la Luna, a natural reserve with unique geological formations such as Tres Marías and Amphitheatre, and enjoy sunset views from Kari viewpoint. Optional stargazing in Valle de la Luna (subject to weather and moon phase).
