Itinerary
Depart Sydney at 07:00 and head south along Highway 31, passing through the countryside of the Southern Highlands. In the afternoon, pass through Albury, a city on the border of New South Wales and Victoria, then arrive in Melbourne and check in to the hotel for rest.
After hotel breakfast, admire St Paul's Cathedral, Captain Cook's Cottage, Federation Square, Flinders Street Station and Parliament House. Then head to the lovely southern St Kilda Beach and stroll through Luna Park. Continuing south, stop for photos at Melbourne's most popular Brighton Beach Bathing Boxes. After that, continue to Dandenong Ranges National Park, exploring the forest areas, fern tree gullies and Olinda Forest, and finally reach the highest point of Mount Dandenong for a panoramic view over eastern Melbourne. The last stop is Penguin Island to watch the little penguins. The island is famous for fairy penguins; Summerland Beach on the southwest of the island is home to many of the world's smallest fairy penguins, about 30 cm tall. Return to the hotel in the evening.
