Welcome to the west coast! Touch down in Vancouver and make your own way to the hotel, where your adventure begins. You’ll meet your Travel Director and fellow travelers this afternoon — the perfect time to get the lowdown on the trip and swap hellos with your new crew. If you’re in town early, why not stretch your legs with a wander along the waterfront?

Kick things off with a proper look at Vancouver. Your Travel Director will show you the city's best bits, from historic Gastown with its famous steam clock to the lush landscapes of Stanley Park. Keep your camera ready — there's something to see around every corner. Then it’s time to swap city sights for sea views as you board the ferry to Vancouver Island. Glide across the Strait of Georgia, watching for coastal scenery and maybe even a seal or two. You’ll land in the charming city of Victoria, ready to explore more tomorrow.

Sun Peaks is a mountain resort municipality in British Columbia, Canada. It is located 55 kilometers northeast of Kamloops and 410 kilometers from Vancouver. The summit of the ski area is at an elevation of 2,080 m (6,824 ft), with an 881 m (2,891 ft) vertical rise from the base of the peak.
Keep your eyes on the horizon as you head deeper into the Rockies — the views only get better. Stop off at the Mount Robson Visitor Center to take in the tallest peak in the Canadian Rockies (and trust us, it’s a jaw-dropper). Then it’s onwards to Jasper National Park, where you’ll settle in for the night surrounded by pristine wilderness and sky-high peaks.

Today’s drive is something else. You’ll journey down the Columbia Icefields Parkway — one of the world’s most scenic highways — with towering peaks, turquoise lakes and ancient glaciers all along the way. Stop at the Icefields themselves and climb aboard a massive Ice Explorer to roll right out onto Athabasca Glacier. Fill your water bottle with a sip of pure glacier melt — it doesn’t get fresher than that. After all that cool adventure, warm things back up with a photo stop at dreamy Lake Louise. That postcard-perfect turquoise water really lives up to the hype. By evening, you’ll arrive in Banff, ready to relax in this buzzing alpine town.
Icefields Parkway
A 230 km long scenic road that parallels the Continental Divide, traversing the rugged landscape of the Canadian Rockies, travelling through Banff National Park and Jasper National Park. It is named for features such as the Columbia Icefield, visible from the parkway. It links Lake Louise with Jasper to the north. At its southern end, the Icefields Parkway terminates at Highway 1.

To keep things stress-free, we recommend booking a night’s stay after the tour. If you’re flying out the same day, aim for a departure after midnight.

- ARRIVAL: Guests to arrive into Vancouver International Airport (YVR). The Welcome Desk is available from 3pm-5pm please be aware when booking flights.
- DEPARTURE: On the last day of the trip, guests will arrive at Rocky Mountaineer Station in Vancouver and will be responsible to book their departure transfers. Please plan with an arrival at Rocky Mountaineer Train Station between approx 18:30 and 20:30. Please allow ample time between this approx arrival time and flight departure time to allow for check-in/clearance of immigration etc (as per domestic/international guidelines for guests onwards flight). We recommend guests book post accommodation in Vancouver.
- TRANSFERS: Both complimentary and chargeable transfers are not offered through Costsaver. Guests should make their own way from/to the airport at their own expense. The welcome email will include information on public transportation options from/to the airport, along with estimated costs for a taxi where available.
- Passengers will be traveling unescorted on the rail and cruise portion of the guided vacation.
- IMPORTANT: Please ensure that we have been given passengers full first and last name as listed on their passport.
- Guests MUST have a valid Passport to enter Canada, with at least 6 months validity from the return date from Canada. US Passport Cards are ONLY acceptable for land crossing NOT flight arrival.
- ELEVATION: The highest elevation point for this guided vacation is 9,000 ft. / 2,2740 m.
- PORTERAGE: Porterage is not included. Guests will be required to handle their own luggage throughout their tour.

Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, is included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

2-29 days or more prior to departure - $280/person penalty.

If the tour include airtickets, additional $75+airline surcharge will be charged as penalty.
Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a scheduled trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every effort to maintain normal operations.
