In the morning, take the B.C. Ferries (admission is included) and travel via the Strait of Georgia to Victoria. Explore the 50-acre, over-100-year-old Butchart Gardens (admission is included). Pass through Chinatown, which has the narrowest commercial street on the island, Fan Tan Alley, and then go to the inner harbor area of Victoria, where you can visit the Fairmont Empress and the historic neo-baroque BC Parliament Buildings. Then head to Mile Zero, the starting point of the over 8,000 km Trans-Canada Highway. Overnight in Victoria.
