Board the Rocky Mountaineer train at the Vancouver Station at 7:30am PT. by yourself (Please arrive at the train station at least 1 hour in advance to check in). Travel from the coastal city of Vancouver to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia's interior. On today's journey you will see dramatic changes in scenery, from the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley, through forests and winding river canyons surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade Mountains, to the desert-like environment of the BC Interior. Highlights include the rushing waters of Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River.
Your day concludes as the Rocky Mountaineer travels along the shores of Kamloops Lake into Kamloops between 6:00pm and 7:30pm PT. Spend the evening exploring the city of Kamloops or relaxing in your hotel room.

Day 2: Kamloops - Rocky Mountaineer Train - Banff (337 km)

Board the Rocky Mountaineer train at the Kamloops Station at 6:25am PT, your journey continues eastwards to the mighty Canadian Rockies and the province of Alberta. Once again you will see a spectacular array of scenery as you travel across ranchlands, along rocky lakeshores, over high mountain passes and through the remarkable tunnels that form part of the rich rail history of the Canadian Rockies. Today's highlights include Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, the climb over Rogers Pass, Kicking Horse Canyon, the Spiral Tunnels and, of course, the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Your rail journey ends this evening upon arrival in Banff, between 7:00pm and 8:30pm MT.

This morning, the first stop of the day is Athabasca Falls;among the most powerful and breathtaking falls in the Rocky Mountains.We'll travel along the Icefield Parkway to the amazing Columbia Icefield,where we will take the all-terrain Snowcoach to actually step on the glacier for an once-in-a-lifetime memory. Then the journey will take you to the hair-raising,thrilling Glacier Skywalk. If the time permits, we will have a chance to visit Peyto Lake, Bow Valley, Bow Lake, and the Crowfoot Glacier.   • Rocky Mountaineer Important Notes:

    • There will be no tour guide provided for this day as it is a self-guided itinerary. For assistance, please contact the service number listed in your Tour Confirmation.
    • Baggage Policy: One checked bag per guest will be delivered directly to your overnight hotel. Please keep essentials such as passports, valuables, cameras, and medications in your carry-on.
    • Meals: Breakfast and lunch are included. Please inform us in advance of any special dietary requirements.
    • This is a daylight scenic train (no sleeper cabins) with no off-train stops along the way.
    • Onboard commentary is in English only. There is no Wi-FiSmoking is strictly prohibited.
    • Dress for variable mountain weather. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a jacket for temperature changes.

    To avoid schedule conflicts (e.g., flights or pre-booked tours), please avoid scheduling important activities upon arrival as train delays can sometimes affect your plans.

    This product includes tickets for Rocky Mountaineer. Train schedules and policies regarding cancellations or changes due to unforeseen circumstances are subject to Rocky Mountaineer's official announcements.

    In case of force majeure events (e.g., transport disruptions, station closures, weather conditions, traffic control), the tour operator will assist with changes, but any additional costs (e.g., accommodation, transportation, meals) must be borne by the traveler.

    It is highly recommended to purchase travel insurance for your protection.

  • Luggage Policy: Each guest is allowed 1 check-in bag (total dimensions must not exceed 62 inches) and 1 carry-on,. Extra luggage will incur a fee of $35 per item.

    • Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every efforts to maintain the normal operation.
    • The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
    Special Notice | FIFA Period Cancellation Rules For bookings during the FIFA period (June 5 – July 10), the following special cancellation rules apply:
    • More than 60 days prior to departure – $100 service fee per person.
    • 46 to 60 days prior to departure – 50% of total purchase amount.
    • 45 days or less prior to departure – 100% of total purchase amount.
