Itinerary

Overview

Depart for a full-day trip with a lovely coach ride through scenic landscapes and along the shores of beautiful Lake Lucerne to Weggis, a charming summer resort on the Lucerne Riviera. Board the aerial cableway to Rigi Kaltbad and enjoy a breathtaking vista of pristine Lake Lucerne. Change for Europe's first-ever mountain railway to Rigi-Kulm at 1,797 m a.s.l. The unsurpassed views from the summit over the Swiss Midlands with its deep blue lakes and the snow-capped mountain range of the Alps will overwhelm you! A variety of well-prepared hiking trails invites for a walk and cosy mountain restaurants offer a decent selection of typical Swiss meals, all accompanied by an amazing alpine panorama. Take in a moment of silence at the Rigi Kulm mountain chapel before you descend to Vitznau by cogwheel train. Board a public boat for a lovely one-hour boat trip on picturesque Lake Lucerne and lean back in front of incomparable natural scenery. Dock at the Lucerne pier and stroll through the medieval streets of the charming Old Town. See the famous Chapel Bridge, the baroque Jesuit Church and the impressive Culture and Convention Centre (KKL) by star architect Jean Nouvel. Continue along the lakeside promenade with its grand Belle Epoque hotels and visit the famous Lion Monument for a souvenir photo. Have a snack or drink or buy some souvenirs before you meet your tour guide for the coach journey back to Zurich in the evening.

Lake Lucerne Sightseeing Cruise

View the snowy Swiss Alps from the main and upper decks of a gorgeous 161 foot yachy while listening to commentary from an expert captain about the sights and sounds of Lake Lucerne in Luzern, Switzerland. Guests can purchase refreshments and select multiple departure times.

Chapel Bridge

This covered bridge that crosses the Reuss River in Lucerne is one of Switzerland's main tourist attractions. The interior of the bridge contains several paintings which were completed in the 17th century.

Jesuit Church (Outside Visit)

The Lucerne Jesuit Church is a Catholic church in Lucerne, Switzerland.It is the first large baroque church built in Switzerland north of the Alps.Construction on the associated church began in 1667. By 1673 the shell of the church and the main façade were completed. The church was consecrated in 1677, though the interior was not yet really finished. Several side altars were still missing and even the high altar was only erected four years later, due to financial problems. The onion topped towers were not completed until 1893. The vault was redecorated in the mid-18th century. The original vestments of Brother Klaus, a famous Swiss patron, are stored in the inner chapel

Culture and Convention Centre (Outside Visit)

The Culture and Convention Centre (KKL) in Lucerne is a renowned architectural landmark, housing a concert hall, art museum, and conference facilities. Designed by Jean Nouvel, it's famed for its stunning lakeside location and acoustics.

Lion Monument

The Lion of Lucerne is an amazing sculpture carved directly into a cliffside in one of Switzerland's most gorgeous cities. It was done to commemorate the deaths of Swiss soldiers who were brutally massacred during the bloody French Revolution.

Redemption

Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your e-ticket. You must print and bring e-ticket(s) on your trip, as they serve as proof of purchase.

Booking changes
A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .
Cancellation penalties per person for 1-4 days tours
(Notification day and departure day are not counted)
15-30 days or more prior to departure - 10% of total purchase amount.
7-14 days prior to departure - 25% of total purchase amount.
4-6 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
Within 3 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every efforts to maintain the normal operation.
The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.
Itinerary Variations
We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
Tour Cancellation:
We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
