Day 1: Anchorage

Today we will arrive in Anchorage (Airport Code: ANC) and then transfer to hotel.
Standard Hotel: Comfort Inn Downtown Ship Creek or Holiday Inn Express Anchorage

Day 2: Anchorage Turn-again Arm Winter Explore

Depart at around 10:00 am, we will go to the Turn-again Arm, take photos at Beluga Point. We will have the opportunity to take the tram (at own expense) at Alyeska Resort. After lunch in Anchorage, we will visit Earthquake Park and Captain Cook Monument. And you can go shopping in Anchorage downtown at the end day off. Back to Anchorage hotel at around 4:00 pm. Optional Activities: Winter glacier flight tour for about 1 hour; Land for about 10-15min and then you can appreciate the scenery on mountain top.

If you want to attend Matanuska Glacier Hiking rather than Anchorage Turnagain Arm Winter Explore, you can pay $170 per person to upgrade to Matanuska Glacier Guided Hiking. If you choose to upgrade, lunch and dinner will be at your own expense.

    Turn-again Arm

    A waterway into the northwestern part of the Gulf of Alaska. It is one of two narrow branches at the north end of Cook Inlet, the other being Knik Arm.

    Earthquake Park

    The 1964 Alaskan earthquake, also known as the Great Alaskan earthquake occurred at 5:36 PM AST on Good Friday, March 27 across south-central Alaska. The destroyed area in Anchorage has since been turned into Earthquake Park.

    Captain Cook Monument

    The monument in central Anchorage is a multi-storey wooden observation deck with a statue of Captain Cook overlooking Cook Inlet and Anchorage train station.

    Winter Glacier Helicopter

Day 3: Anchorage - Fairbanks(259 miles)

In the morning we will drive to Anchorage train station to take Aurora Winter Train (8:30-20:00) heading to Fairbanks. After arrival, we will drive to hotel for rest. Around 22:00, we will head to Aurora Viewing Lodge to view aurora. We will return to hotel by 02:00.

Day 4: Fairbanks City Tour

Depart from the hotel around 1:00 pm, we will enjoy Fairbanks city tour. Today we will visit Santa Claus House, University of Alaska Museum of the North. At 10:00pm, we will head to aurora viewing bar or Clear Summit Aurora Viewing Lodge to watch the aurora. Back to Fairbanks hotel around 2:00 am the next morning. Optional tour: Dogsled and Culture Tour.

    Chena Hot Springs Resort

    Chena Hot Springs Resort
    Chena Hot Springs was founded over 100 years ago. The resort makes use of the first low-temperature binary geothermal power plant built in Alaska and is working on several alternative energy projects, including production and use of hydrogen and vegetable oil for fuel.

    1) You must wear a bathing suit in the hot springs, please prepare in advance. 2) For safety reasons, minors under age 18 may not enter the outdoor natural rock pool, but they may use the indoor pool and the outdoor hot tub. 3) If you choose not to enter the hot springs for your own reasons, the fee is not refundable.

Today we will enjoy free time in Fairbanks. To enrich the trip, guests can choose to take Arctic Circle tour by land: We will drive through Dalton Highway, view Yulon River, Alaska Pipeline, arrive at Alaska's Arctic Circle ( the 66 ° 33 ' latitude) landmark, and be awarded a certificate of Arctic expeditions; Around 22:00, visit Aurora Viewing Lodge and return to hotel around 02:00. Guests can also choose to upgrade to Arctic Circle tour by flight: in the morning take flight over Arctic Circle. (If the flight tour not available due to weather, we will arrange the land tour and refund the price difference. If you don't want to take the land tour, the fee will not be refunded.)

  • Airport Dropoff: Please book a departure flight after 7:00 am on the last day. Each room provides a 24-hour airport free shuttle service. It is recommended that guests arrive at the airport at least 2 hours in advance. Guests can also take a taxi to the airport by themselves.   • Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .
  • Cancellation and Refund Policy:
    TakeTours makes every effort to serve our customers better. We also advise all customers to purchase traveler's insurance in case of interruption, accidents, illness, or anything else that may come up. If a reservation has to be cancelled, customers will be charged a fee depending on how far from the departure date the cancellation takes place.

    10-15 days prior to departure - 30% of total purchase amount
    6-9 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount
    Within 5 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount
    Day of departure or no-show - 100% of total purchase amount
    Notification day and departure day are NOT counted. Unused features are non-refundable. The refund amount will be credited directly to your account.   • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.

  • This journey requires a US visa.
  • Due to fire safety requirements in Alaska, extra beds cannot be added to hotel rooms. Every room is furnished with 2 beds.
  • The optional tour is affected by the weather factors. If the tour got cancelled, we will issue a refund.
  • If there is any discrepancy between the schedule and the tour guide, please refer to the guide time.
  • There are a few restaurants along the Arctic Circle where you can have lunch and dinner or prepare your own meals.
  • Aurora is a natural phenomenon and depends on solar activity. You are not guaranteed to see it.
  • The order of the trip will be adjusted according to your departure dates and weather conditions.
  • Note that plans from many cellular carriers do not work in Alaska, please make sure the number you provided can receive texts or calls after landing, otherwise an alternative communication method should be established beforehand.
