You'll arrive in Anchorage, where the Chugach Mountains rise beyond the rooftops, their highest folds sometimes holding traces of snow, while Cook Inlet stretches west in broad channels divided by silver-gray tidal flats. White-barked birch and dark spruce soften the city streets. Overhead, you might catch the distant drone of a floatplane rises and fades into a northern sky that seems to have no end. Later, share dinner and wine with your fellow travelers at a local restaurant.

Your choice experience offers two distinct ways to explore Alaska’s waterways. Choose the jet boat and feel it surge beneath you as it threads through the Chulitna’s braided channels, the water winding around shifting islands of gravel and silt before the banks narrow towards the gorge. As part of the same experience, a short nature walk leads to an authentic trapper’s cabin, where you examine rough timber walls and rustic furnishings while your guide explains how trappers lived in the Bush at the turn of the 20th century. Alternatively, choose a scenic float along the Talkeetna River. The raft drifts with the current, each measured stroke of the oars cutting through the water as you scan the banks for eagle nests, beaver dams and animal tracks. Later, explore Talkeetna independently or choose one of two Optional Experiences. Take a flightseeing tour over the Alaska Range, looking down across ridgelines, snowfields and glaciers. Alternatively, join a naturalist for a three-mile hike, listening for songbirds among old-growth trees and pausing over wildflowers, berries and mushrooms identified beside the trail.

From your glass-domed railcar, you gaze out at swift streams breaking white over stone as the Alaska Railroad curves north towards Denali National Park and Preserve. The glass dome arches above you as the train crosses Hurricane Gulch, the ravine falling sharply beneath the bridge and mountain country stretching far beyond it. At the lodge, a local climber speaks of Denali not as a distant summit but as a 17- to 18-day test of breath, muscle and concentration. You hear how climbers build snow walls around camp, work through thin air and stay alert as conditions change around them. For your Dine-Around evening, choose dinner at a local brewery or the lodge’s rustic restaurant.
Denali National Park, United States
Across Denali’s open tundra, you follow the park road between braided riverbeds, low willow and broad slopes brushed with muted green, gold and russet. A moose may lift its head above the scrub and Dall sheep can appear as pale specks high against the rock. You scan the willow thickets, open slopes and ridgelines, watching for a grizzly moving across the hillside or caribou threading over the tundra. Near the East Fork River, the Murie Cabin stands alone beside wide gravel bars and pale channels of water. Its rough timber walls mark the place where naturalist Adolph Murie lived. The afternoon is yours. Join an Optional Experience fly fishing in clear moving water, listening to the line whisper through the air before it settles on the surface. Alternatively, take an Optional Experience helicopter flightseeing tour, rising above river valleys, ridgelines and folds of distant ice. Back at the lodge, watch the final daylight fade across the surrounding slopes as evening deepens.
Denali National Park, United States
Southbound through the Matanuska–Susitna Valley, you'll pass broad farmland spread across fine glacial silt. At Moonstone Farm, you'll meet David Church, whose family arrived with the 1935 Matanuska Colony Project. He shares how three generations have used Alaska’s long summer days and mineral-rich soil to grow vegetables celebrated for their remarkable size and sweetness, while helping supply food to communities far beyond the farm. The Seward Highway traces Turnagain Arm, with steep mountains on one side and vast tidal flats on the other. At low tide, narrow ribbons of water wind through gleaming silt. When conditions align, a bore tide can race along the Arm in a single advancing line, its deep rumble traveling across the inlet before the water reaches you. As you arrive in Girdwood, you'll move beneath rain-dark trunks, past moss-covered fallen timber and ferns spread across the forest floor around Alyeska, Alaska’s only year-round resort. This evening, join your Travel Director for dinner with wine.

Girdwood lies in a valley in the southwestern Chugach Mountains, surrounded by seven glaciers feeding into a number of creeks, which either converge within the valley or empty directly into the arm.
A relaxed morning at Alyeska leaves you time to enjoy the resort before traveling to Whittier. Here, you'll board the 26 Glacier Cruise for a 100-mile (160-kilometer) journey through Prince William Sound, moving between forested headlands and narrow fjords. In College Fjord, towering glaciers rise from the water in blue-white walls, with deep crevasses cutting through the ice. From the open deck, you feel the temperature fall as the catamaran approaches the glacier fronts. You may hear a sudden crack echo across the fjord before ice breaks from a glacier and crashes into the water. Inside the wheelhouse, you stand beside the Captain and watch the channels ahead through broad windows as he explains how he reads the water, weather and ice. Over lunch, you look out across blue ice, floating fragments and sheer rock. Following the cruise, travel back to Anchorage, where your journey comes to an end.

- DEPARTURE: Guests will arrive at Anchorage International Airport (ANC) at approx 20:30. Flight information is required to book departure transfer. Please allow ample time between this approx arrival time and flight departure time to allow for check-in/clearance of immigration etc (as per domestic/international guidelines for guests onwards flight).
- TRANSFERS: Please refer to guest documents for transfer options on arrival day. Private chargeable transfers are available at an additional charge. Inter-city Travel: By private motor coach, trains and ferries.
Touring: By air-conditioned / air-ventilated motor coaches. Please note that on some Regional European First Class Tours and London sightseeing, motor coaches without toilet facilities are used. In the Middle East and South America, air-conditioned / air-ventilated motor coaches (or minibuses) without toilet facilities are used. If due to circumstances beyond our control coaches are used otherwise than as advertised, a refund of $10 per person will be made.

Hotel Accommodation: Prices are per person and based on two persons sharing a twin-bedded room with private bath or shower. When booking triple rooms please note that the third bed may be a 'roll-away' bed. Availability of triple rooms is limited. Note that single rooms in European hotels are generally smaller than twin-bedded rooms and European hotel standards, facilities and services provided may vary from those in other parts of the world and are often local in style.
Tour Director: Escorted tours are conducted in English only by a professional multi-lingual Tour Director.
Porterage & Luggage Allowance: Baggage handling for one suitcase per person on tour, at hotels, is included in the tour price. Due to limited coach capacity, this single bag should have dimensions not exceeding 30"x18"x10" (76x46x25cm) and weight not exceeding 50 lbs (23kg). A charge of up to US$5 per traveling day will be collected by the Tour Director if a second piece of baggage is carried, or if the suitcase exceeds the established weight and/or dimensions. However it cannot be guaranteed that more than one suitcase will be carried. Hand luggage should be one piece per person and should be limited in size (not exceeding 30x28x14cm or 12x11x6) so as to fit under your coach seat or in the small overhead shelf. These are the responsibility of each tour member and should be taken onto the motor coach with you. Please note that luggage with telescopic handles and wheels will not fit in the overhead compartments and can therefore not be accepted as carry-on luggage for safety reasons. Porterage at train stations is not included. We will not accept liability for any loss or damage to baggage or any of the passenger's belongings. Passengers should report any lost items to the Tour Director who will assist in completing a lost property form that can be used for any insurance claim in this matter. However, we cannot assist in locating any lost items once the passenger has returned home.
Tips and Taxes: All tips are included for services on tour provided by dining-room waiters, chambermaids and porters at hotels.
Airfair Exclusions: Airfares to and from your destination, except where specified, airport taxes and fees; passport and visa fees; airline fees for checked and/or excess baggage; airport transfers; insurances of all kinds; tips to Tour Directors, motor coach drivers, local city guides and cruise staff; gratuities on ferries, trains and cruise ships; porterage at train stations; laundry; phone calls; minibar; beverages; meals not detailed in the itinerary; optional excursions; and all items of a personal nature. The tour price also does not cover costs and expenses, including the return to your home, if you leave the tour at your own volition or due to illness, or as a consequence of official action by the government of any country visited.

Travel Insurance: We recommend that all passengers purchase comprehensive travel insurance. Certain countries have a requirement for foreign visitors to have valid medical insurance on entry. We cannot be held responsible if a passenger is denied entry for being unable to provide details to the authorities of such insurance. We do not employ staff doctors or nurses. Should you need medical attention, it will be at local facilities, at your expense. We are not responsible for any costs incurred as a result of medical services, or for the quality of medical care or medical services you receive.
Complaints procedure: Should you have a complaint in respect of your vacation, you should inform your Tour Director/Representative immediately. If the matter cannot be resolved after the Tour Director's/Representative's best endeavors to do so during the holiday.

Where the passenger occupies a motorcoach seat fitted with a safety belt, neither the Operators nor their agents or co-operating organizations or service providers concerned will be liable for any injury, illness or death or for any loss or damages or claims whatsoever arising from any accident or incident, if the safety belt is not being worn at the time of such accident or incident.
3. Transportation companies, are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not on transportation or conveyances. We rely on international convention which may apply to the services provided by us, our suppliers or agents with respect to any claim of any nature brought by you against us as a result of the provision of those services. International conventions which apply may include: Warsaw Convention 1929, (as amended by Hague Protocol and Montreal Protocol) in relation to air travel, or Montreal Convention; the Berne Convention for rail travel; Athens Convention 1974 for carriage by sea; the Geneva Convention for carriage by road and the Paris Convention 1962 for Hotels. We are to be regarded as having all benefit of these conventions on limiting our liability in relation to any claim for death, injury, loss, damage and delay to passengers and luggage. Enrollment in and payment for a tour shall constitute agreement and acceptance by the passenger of the terms and conditions set forth in this brochure which cannot be varied except in writing by an officer of the Company.

Passports are needed when traveling outside your home country. Your passport should be valid for 6 months beyond the conclusion of your trip.
You are responsible for obtaining all necessary visas prior to the departure of your tour. Depending on your nationality, you may need visas to enter certain countries included on your tour. Please note that obtaining visas can take up to six weeks prior to your departure. It is strongly advised that you consult your travel agent, and local Consulate or Embassy of the country you are visiting, well in advance to determine which visas you require and how to obtain them.
The meals on tour will provide you with a balanced diet and are based on local foods and menus. We can accommodate passengers who prefer a vegetarian diet and can assist with diabetic, gluten free and other medically recommended diets. Please advise at time of booking. We regret that we are unable to supply meals in accordance with strict religious requirements.
Most hotels do offer laundry service, and in some cities Laundromats are also available. However, it is a good idea to try and pack enough clothing without having to do laundry, as it can sometimes be costly and/or inconvenient.
Yes, your Tour Director will implement a seat rotation system, whereby passengers rotate seats on the coach daily. This allows for all passengers to experience the different views from various seats and maximize interaction.
We regret that no refunds can be made for absences from a tour, including but not limited to, missed meals or sightseeing.
Due to limited space on the motor coach, you are requested to bring one suitcase per person with the dimensions of 30in. x 18in. x 10in. (76cm x 46cm x 25cm) and weight not exceeding 23kg. You can also bring one piece of hand luggage, provided it is small enough to take on the coach and does not have telescope handles.
Yes, baggage handling is provided at no extra charge. One suitcase per person will be brought to your hotel room.
We have pre-paid certain tips and gratuities for you such as all baggage handling at hotels and ports. Tips to restaurant staff for meals are also included in the price of your tour.
Tips are customarily given to your Tour Director, Driver and Local Guides at your discretion. The recommended amounts are: Tour Directors US$4 per day, Drivers US$2.50 per day and Local Guides US$1 per day.
