Death Valley Tours

We booked Bindlestiff Tours for a group day trip to Death Valley National Park from Las Vegas. Tour Date: April 1, 2026. Mr. Charlie Taussig was our tour guide. He brought a very comfortable and clean van with large side windows and arrived a few minutes early to greet us. Since it was only the four of us (other guests had cancelled/no other bookings on that tour), we got the benefit of a personal tour. Charlie was professional, friendly, very well informed of the area, shared interesting historical facts and legends, took us to all the points on the tour without rushing, drove safely even when other cars raced past our van, made the tour extra special and memorable. I would ask for Charlie again on any future tour. He covers a wide area of parks and tourist spots on the West Coast and does tours spanning several nights and for different interest groups. As a company Bindlestiff (Mary in particular) was responsive, answered all our doubts and concerns, and the tour unfolded exactly as described. Well stocked with boxed lunch, plenty of cold water and a first aid kit (the latter was tested and put to good use).Thank you Charlie Taussig and Bindlestiff. Highly recommend them.

Beautiful excursion, kind guide, clear and understandable even for a group of Italians. Water available in abundance, even in August a beautiful and feasible excursion

On the fourth day we drove from Las Vegas all the way to Joshua Tree, stopping in Twentynine Palms for lunch along the way, and that stretch of desert highway felt long. Once inside the park I saw the Cholla Cactus Garden and Skull Rock; the cacti stood packed together and glowed gold in the sun, and I just stood there taking it in for a while.

The night in Page was at a Garner by IHG or similar, and the room was clean enough, which made the early start toward the Grand Canyon the next morning easier. I don't ask much of hotels — a good night's sleep is enough for me.

Antelope Canyon was an optional add-on, and I remember the ticket ran around a hundred dollars, with a Navajo guide leading us in. Walking between those curving walls with light slipping through the cracks, I kept looking up the whole time and felt happy to have paid for it.

Four days felt tighter than I expected, with most of each day spent on the road, but standing at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and looking out at those red cliffs, the tiredness from all that driving just melted away.
