Return to Florence in the evening.

    Manarola is a small town, a frazione of the comune of Riomaggiore, in the province of La Spezia, Liguria, northern Italy. It is the second-smallest of the famous Cinque Terre towns frequented by tourists.

    The northern-most entrance into the coastal towns of Cinque Terre is a sparkling blue jewel with its beautiful sandy beaches! Monterosso, known for its lemon trees and anchovies. Split in two, its new and old halves are linked by an underground tunnel burrowed beneath the blustery San Cristoforo promontory.

    Also called the Piazza del Duomo, this huge, walled-off area contains some of the most famous architectural feats in the world: the Pisa Cathedral, the Pisa Baptistry, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and the Camposanto Monumentale.

    Leaning Tower of Pisa

    The world-famous tower built during the Middle Ages is a testament to both human ingenuity and fallibility. The tower tilted because the soil on one side was softer than on the other, and it could not support the tower's weight.
