Itinerary

Overview

To join this exciting bike tour through the streets of Florence, guests should meet at the specified departure location at the scheduled time. Today, we will enjoy a leisurely bike ride on the Renaissance era streets of this beautiful city, seeing famous landmarks such as Il Duomo (home to the iconic Brunelleschi's Dome), Piazza Santissima Annunziata, Palazzo Strozzi, Santa Croce, San Niccolo', Piazza della Signoria, Piazza della Repubblica and much more! From the Arno you will be able to admire the sequence of bridges that embellish the Florentine scene. After a few hours biking around town, we will return to the departure location, bringing an end to the tour. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding pickup and drop-off times and locations.

Basilica of Santa Croce

The Basilica of Santa Croce, known as "the Temple of the Italian Glories," is the burial site of some most famous names in Italian history: Michelangelo, Galileo and Machiavelli, among others. Inside are frescoes by Gaddi and sculptures by Donatello.

Piazza della Signoria

The Piazza della Signoria features many can't-miss Florentine buildings. The Palazzo Vecchio, Florence's massive fortress of a town hall, towers above. The Loggia dei Lanzi is a beautiful piece of Renaissance architecture, bedecked with bronze and marble sculptures.

TIPS FOR A GREAT EXPERIENCE

Wear flat shoes. Be comfortable.

Please do not carry large bags whilst on the Segway.

Aim to arrive 10 minutes early, so the tour can start on time.
WINTER TIPS:

In order to have a great time with us, during the winter time (November to March), we suggest to bring with you gloves, hat, scarf and warm comfortable shoes.
THINGS TO NOTE

You do not have to print your tickets. You can access your tickets on any smartphone.

Riders need to be physically and mentally self-efficient.

Remember to bring with you an identification with the confirmation voucher.

Be informed that there are no public restrooms in our office.

This tour is NOT recommended for pregnant women.

Alcohol is forbidden on all Bike tours and any client suspected of drinking before or during a Bike tour will immediately forfeit their tour and no refund will be given.
The Segway is appropriate for riders aged 12 and older. Riders must have mobility to climb and descend stairs without assistance. The Segway is not appropriate for those weighing under 100 pounds (45 kilos) or over 250 pounds (113 kilos). For safety reasons, women who are under 2 month pregnant should not operate the Segway.
Currency Fluctuations: All tour prices are current at the time of publication and susceptible to currency fluctuations. We reserve the right to alter the tour price in accordance with changes in foreign exchanges rates and changes in prices for services. The rate that you pay when you reserve your tour will protect you against future currency fluctuations; on the other hand, no price adjust (refund) will be made based upon change in tour prices.

Confirmation

All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 1 business days after booking. Please do not book the airline tickets until you received the confirmation.

Redemption

Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your e-ticket. You must print and bring e-ticket(s) on your trip, as they serve as proof of purchase.

Terms & Condition

Cancellation Policy: The payment is fully refundable if the reservation is cancelled 8 business days or more prior to the scheduled tour. Cancellations received within 4-7 days of departure will incur a penalty of 30% of total purchase amount. The payment will not be refunded for any other reason (i.e. weather, change of travel plans, illness, missed train, etc.) within 3 business days of the scheduled tour. The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
Rain Policy: The tour operates rain or shine. In case of heavy rain, the bike tour may proceed as a walking tour instead. Guest options on rainy days:
Proceed with the tour hoping for clearing weather - with the understanding that no refund or discount will be given if Segways are not ridden due to rain, or if the Segway tour is abbreviated due to rain.
50% refund for client cancellation
Rain check to be used the following day or at any other time, subject to availability. The Rain check is a voucher given to the client. The voucher is transferable and may be sold or given to others to use at a future date and lasts up to 1 year from date.
There is 6% handling fee add-on to the above penalties.
Prices may vary and are subject to availability by season, weekend, and/or holiday.
While we will make every effort to maintain a regular operation, we reserve the right to cancel a scheduled trip and issue a full refund to affected customers under special circumstances.
