Itinerary

Overview

Drive automatic 4x4 ATVs or Side x Side UTVs on a 5.5-mile private course through guava groves and mud-splashed trails with panoramic Pacific views. Our guides lead you to breathtaking overlooks of the Umauma River and a private waterfall pond where you can swim and enjoy local snacks. The journey culminates at "The Pit" for a final group mud-ride celebration - an unforgettable, adrenaline-packed Hawaiian experience.

Hakalau, HI

Hakalau is a tranquil historic town on the Hamakua Coast of Hawaii Island’s northeast side. Once a thriving sugar plantation community, it's now celebrated for its lush rainforests, world-class waterfalls (like Umauma Falls), and rustic charm, serving as a gateway to natural wonders and Old Hawaii.

Umauma Falls

Umauma Falls is a spectacular three-tiered waterfall on Hawaii's Big Island, where cascading streams merge into turquoise pools amid tropical foliage. Known for its zipline adventures and panoramic viewpoints, it offers unforgettable encounters with the island's lush beauty.

No history of neck or back injury. Cannot be pregnant. Must wear closed toe shoes, pants and shirt.

Policies

Confirmation

All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book airline tickets until you receive the confirmation.

Redemption

You will receive a confirmation email (e-ticket) after your order is processed. Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, is included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

Terms & Condition

Confirmation of Purchases
All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking.
Changes to Reservations
A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or itinerary will be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply.
Cancellation Policy
- 17 days or more prior to departure - 10% of total purchase amount.
- 10 to 16 days prior to departure - 40% of total purchase amount.
- Within 9 days prior to departure or no show - 100% of total purchase amount.
  Unused features are non-refundable, and no-shows forfeit the entire payment.
  Refund Process
  Refunds will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet for future use, or can be issued to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
  We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of the tour.
Operator's Rights to Cancel and Adjust
We reserve the right to cancel a scheduled tour and fully refund affected customers while making every effort to maintain regular operations. Additionally, we may modify tour arrangements to ensure a smooth experience. Please note that we are not responsible for any other travel arrangements impacted by our cancellations.
Itinerary Modification Due to Unforeseen Circumstances
In the event that weather conditions, war, general strikes, or other unforeseen circumstances disrupt the journey, our company reserves the right to modify the itinerary without issuing a refund of the tour fee. This revision improves readability and maintains a formal tone.
