We will head for Akaka Falls State Park, view the 150-meter long falls. Then we will visit an Orchard Farmhouse to enjoy pick-to-eat fresh from tree tropical fruits. Afterwards we will continue to visit the Lava Trees State Park. Next, We will continue on to the Kalapana lava flow beach. At dark, we will return to Hilo airport or hotel.

Akaka Falls State Park
'Akaka Falls State Park is one of the many parks on the Island of Hawaii, just outside the city of Hilo. The park is named for the ʻAkaka Falls, a 422-foot-tall waterfall on Kolekole Stream in an eroded gorge.
Lava Trees State Park
This peculiar park in the Nanawale Forest Reserve gets its name from rock formations formed by lava that surrounded and killed trees when it oozed through the area in 1790. A circular 0.7-mile footpath winds through the park.
Kalapana Black Sand Beach
Kalapana Black Sand Beach is a volcanic beach that is also an actively erupting area. The Kalapana Lava Viewing Area allows visitors to see the volcano's activity from a safe distance and watch smoke billow up from the water.
Pick-up service is available from most hotels in Hilo area or Hilo Airport (9:30am), please enter the hotel name & address or flight info in the 'Pickup Location' field. Please arrange your arrival flight before 9:00am and leaving flight after 6:00pm. NOTE Hilo Airport Transfer will be surcharged $10 per person.

You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

The purchase of any travel services represents your acceptance Terms & Conditions set out herein. Please ensure that you read carefully and understand these Terms & Conditions prior to booking.
A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply.
Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to Taketours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .
Cancellation penalties per person (Notification day and departure day are not counted) 15-30 days prior to departure - 10% of total purchase amount.
8-14 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
Within 7 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every efforts to maintain the normal operation.
The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee. NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.
We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, Taketours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers. We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
The itinerary/details page of the tour will have information about the level of hotel. The actual hotel will not be finalized until 1 or 2 days before departure. Most hotels are around 3 stars, and you may get the exact hotel details while reconfirming your tour.
For the tours more than 3 days, the seats are rotated by your tour guide everyday so that everyone has the chance to sit front, middle, and back of the bus. We can make special arrangement if you can produce doctor's note etc.
Departure information, including time and location, is listed in the âDeparture And Return Detailsâ section of the tour itinerary. There is often a link to a map as well. Every e-ticket includes full pick-up time and location information. Please print out your e-Ticket and bring your ID to board the bus.
If you want to cancel this tour, please check the cancellation policy of the tour under Redemption and Policies tab and then e-mail to email@example.com. Your refund request will be answered and processed promptly. If you do not receive any reply in one business day, that means your request is not processed. Please contact us immediately.
We only post available dates in our website. If you can't find date before last showed date in the tour, it means no service available. Also, we currently accept 60-90 for tours days advance bookings for tour service; if the date you want is outside this range, please bookmark the schedule page, as product updates occur every day.
