Maui Tours

The road really does have plenty of curves and bridges, but the coach was comfortable with big windows for viewing. We stopped at several spots; the black sand beach was my favorite, and I swam in the waterfall pool. Lunch at the organic farm was included, which I found convenient.

Iao Valley State Monument was closed for bridge repairs when I went, but the rest of the tour still covered Maui's highlights nicely. Seeing Nene geese at Haleakala was a treat, and it was windy at the summit, so the warm layers were necessary.

The hotel pickup was around 2am, which made for an early start, but watching the sunrise from the summit made it worth it. It was cold at the top, around 20°F, so I was glad I had a warm coat. Park admission and breakfast were both included in the tour price, which was convenient.
