Itinerary
In the morning, guests will be picked up from their hotels in Miami to begin this tour. Driving south out of the city, we will spend about 4 hours crossing 43 bridges and 31 islands until we reach Key West. When we arrive, guests will have time to explore on their own. We will be able to visit Ernest Hemingway's House, the Southernmost Point Buoy, the Mel Fisher Monument, the Key West Lighthouse, Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum, Mallory Square, and many more locations. We can also join in some local activities, such as snorkeling, a glass-bottom boat ride, or a hop-on-hop-off trolley. In the afternoon, we will return to Miami, where the tour will come to a close. Key West, FL
This island in the Florida Keys is the southernmost city in the continental United States. It is loved by tourists internationally for its idyllic Caribbean waters, warm and cozy weather, and stretches of white beaches.
Hemingway House
The Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum in Key West was the famous author's home for almost ten years and was where he wrote some of his famous works. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1968.
Southernmost Point Buoy
As the name suggests, this anchored bouy marks the southernmost point in the mainland U.S., although the accuracy of that statement has been disputed. On one side, the buoy reads "90 Miles To Cuba."
Key West Lighthouse
Though it is decommissioned, this lighthouse, built in 1848, is not the first to have served Key West. It's predecessors, however, were destroyed in hurricanes.
Mallory Square
Located on the waterfront in Key West's historic "Old Town" district.
