Day 1: Rome

Upon airport arrival, we will transfer to hotel. At the end of the evening we will transfer to Trastevere area. This neighborhood will be a great introduction to Rome, a stroll in the narrow cobbled streets of the Trastevere district reveals hidden treasures to us, such as some modest medieval churches, small shops with the most peculiar of objects or scenes of daily life. Many trattorias (informal Italian eating establishments) and osterias (inns) imbued with the Italian spirit will be ready to serve you local dishes. Other restaurants serving Indian, Chinese and international food can be found in this area. Return to hotel.

Trastevere

This area is the 13th rione of Rome. It features narrow, cobblestone streets lined with many Medieval-era buildings. It lies on the West Bank of the Tiber River, south of Vatican City.

Day 2: Rome (7 km)

In the morning, we will have a scenic tour of Rome. We will enter the tiny state of the Vatican, visit St. Peter's Basilica, Roman Colosseum. In the evening we will transfer to the Trastevere area for a stroll in the narrow cobbled streets of the district with hidden treasures, such as some modest medieval churches, small shops with the most peculiar of objects or scenes of daily life. Many trattorias (informal Italian eating establishments) and osterias (inns) imbued with the Italian spirit will be ready to serve you local dishes. Colosseum

This nearly 2000-year-old structure is one of the most famous buildings in all of human history. At its height, it could hold up to 80,000 people, and was usually used for gladiatorial contests, executions, and drama productions.

Vatican City, ITALY

St. Peter's Basilica

Perhaps the most famous church in the world and the center of Roman Catholicism, this ornate basilica in the small sovereign state of Vatican City has been a place of pilgrimage for nearly two thousand years.

Vatican Museums

This small country, surrounded by the larger city of Rome, is the center of the Catholic Church and home of the Pope. Famous sights are St. Peter's Square and the Basilica, as well as the Vatican Museum.

Day 3: Rome - Florence (230 km)

We will leave Rome for Florence. This route is graced with beautiful landscapes. Upon arrival in Florence, we will head straight to Piazzale Michelangelo. In the evening we will have a tour with a local expert, and walk through the historic centre, taking in places such as the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo and Piazza della Signoria. Free time to explore. In the evening, you can dine at your favorite restaurant. In this district you can find restaurants serving Italian, Indian, Chinese and international food.

Florence, ITALY

Historic Florence, Italy is considered to be one of the most gorgeous cities in the world. Its long tradition of art and culture can be seen on nearly every doorstep. Millions of people travel here each year.

Piazzale Michelangelo

The Piazzale Michelangelo is located at the top of a hill, making it perhaps the best vantage point to take in a full panoramic view of this marvelous city. A restaurant at the top provides visitors with a good meal.

Ponte Veccio

The Ponte Veccio is a Medieval stone bridge over the Arno River in Florence. The bridge is lined by shops, something that was typical at the time of its construction in 1345; they are mostly artists and souvenir vendors.

Piazza della Signoria

The Piazza della Signoria features many can't-miss Florentine buildings. The Palazzo Vecchio, Florence's massive fortress of a town hall, towers above. The Loggia dei Lanzi is a beautiful piece of Renaissance architecture, bedecked with bronze and marble sculptures.

Tuscan Dinner

In this opportunity, you will have the chance to make a magnificent dinner in a Tuscan atmosphere. A group of musicians will set this beautiful evening. We can taste the typical products of the region. During dinner we can also enjoy live music, a pianist singer from Fiorentino will perform national and international pieces of music.

Day 4: Florence - Venice (203 km)

Today we enjoy stunning mountain landscapes while crossing the Apennine Mountains. We will arrive in Venice and take the boat and cross the Giudecca to the Island of Venice. With a local guide, we will visit the St. Mark's Square and enter the Basilica.Afterwards, we will visit the Murano glass factory. At the end of the afternoon, we will have the chance to enjoy own free time or eat dinner in the Mestre district, where you can choose the type of restaurant that you prefer (Indian, Oriental, Italian, etc.).

Venice, ITALY

This city off the coast of northeast Italy is famous the world over for its many canals. It is actually a chain of 118 islands linked together by bridges and waterways. Venice is world-renown for its art and beauty.

Gondola Ride

The canals of Venice are what make this city iconic. Gondolas are special boats designed to navigate these channels. No visit to Venice is complete without a romantic ride down the canals on a gondola.Musicians 1 tenor and one accordionist for the gondola group.

Saint Mark's Basilica

The Basilica Cattedrale Patriarcale di San Marco is the most famous church in Venice and is known for its unique and ornate Italo-Byzantine architecture that includes five hemispherical domes and fine patterns. It was built in the 11th century AD.

Day 5: Venice - Innsbruck - Kitzbuhel (9689 km)

We will depart from Venice travelling to Austria. After arrival in Innsbruck, we will have some time to stroll in the historic centre and have lunch. After this, we will travel along a very pretty scenic road between the mountains to Kitzbuhel. We will see this picturesque little village, a famous ski resort where we can enjoy the snow for a large part of the year! Free time. Dinner included (vegetarian option possible).

Note: In case of few travellers on the trip, the journey from Venice to Innsbruck may be done by a train.

Innsbruck, AUSTRIA

Located in the Inn valley, lies about halfway between Munich in Germany and Verona in Italy. It is an internationally renowned winter sports center, and hosted the 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympics as well as the 1984 and 1988 Winter Paralympics.

Day 6: Kitzbuhel - Salzburg - St. Wolfgang - Traunseee - Vienna (295 km)

Departing in the morning, we will enjoy a cable car ride up to the high mountains that surround Kitbuhel with fantastic scenery; in summer, we may also visit the "alpine flower garden". Then we will continue to explore Austria and arrive in Salzburg. Our guide will accompany us through the beautiful streets of this city's historic centre. Our next stop is St. Wolfgang, a famous place of pilgrimage in Austria. Afterwards we will continue to Traunkirchen and visit its beautiful Traunsee Lake, where we will take a cruise to see four castles, disembarking in Gmunden. After this we will continue to Vienna, arriving in the late afternoon.

Salzburg, AUSTRIA

Salzburg's claim to fame is being the birthplace of legendary composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. It also served as the setting for "The Sound of Music". Visitors can enjoy the baroque architecture and spend time in the City Center.

Day 7: Vienna

Today, we will enjoy a scenic visit around Vienna, this impresive city with a local expert. Here we will experience its majestic avenues, its palaces and the vibrant city centre. Then we will directly head the Schonbrunn Palace where visitors can stroll around and enjoy its beautiful gardens. After lunch, we will have own free afternoon in the city center. In the evening we will go to the City Hall Square to enjoy the lighting and the nightlife in the neighbouring streets.

Vienna, AUSTRIA

Vienna is the capital city of Austria. It is considered one of the best places to live in the world. Called "The City of Music", Vienna has produced internationally famous composers such as Beethoven, Brahms, Mahler, Mozart and more.

Schonbrunn Palace

Schonbrunn Palace is both one of the most important cultural landmarks in Austria and possibly the most major of its tourist attractions. This 1,440-room Rococo estate and gardens was built by Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian II in 1569.

Day 8: Vienna - Budapest (243 km)

Today we will have an approximately three-hour journey to Budapest, Hungary. Arriving at around 11:30am, we will discover Budapest known as the "Queen of the Danube" on a boat tour along the Danube River. After lunch, we will continue a scenic tour of the city. After the tour we will enjoy some leisure time. At the end of the day, we will finish in the lively area of Vaci Utca, where there are lots of opportunities to take dinner.

Budapest, HUNGARY

Budapest is the capital city of Hungary and is routinely considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. A large area of the city is considered a World Heritage Site by the United Nations.

Danube Cruise

Take a leisurely cruise down the beautiful Danube River to see the magnificent city of Budapest from the water. This river is the vein that flows between the two part of the city, Buda and Pest.

Day 9: Budapest - Bratislava - Prague (490 km)

We will leave from Budapest for Bratislava. We will have time to see the city and have a lunch. After lunch we will continue on our way to the Prague and arrive in the evening. We will then transfer to the Old Town Square. It's a marvellous place to acquaint ourselves with Prague. After dinner, we will return to the hotel.

Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, is a beautiful Central European city. Some of the most popular places in town are St. Martin's Cathedral, the Old Town, and Devin Castle.
Prague, CZECH REPUBLIC

Prague has been an important city for 1,100 years. It is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic, features more than ten museums, and its historic city center is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Old Town Square

This public square in the heart of Prague's historic Old Town displays some excellent examples of Gothic and baroque architecture; for example, the square's two major churches, Tyn Church and St. Nihcolas Church, each showcase one of these styles.

Day 10: Prague

Today we will take an informative city tour of Prague with tour guide, which will include the outstanding monuments. During the visit we will walk through Prague Castle. Then we shall take a magnificent boat tour on the River Vltava. In the afternoon we will have own free time to explore Prague. In the evening, we will enjoy some time in the historic city centre. After dinner, we will return to hotel.

Prague Castle

This massive palatial complex in Prague serves as the official residence of the President of the Czech Republic. It is the largest ancient castle in the world with a total area of 70,000 square-meters.

Vltava River Cruise

Take a relaxing cruise through the majestic city of Prague as you drift along the Vlatava River. Take a seat on the outdoor deck and observe the vibrant city with a cool, refreshing drink.

Day 11: Prague-Pilsen-Rothenburg-Frankfurt (446 km)

We will have an early departure from Prague and stop in Pilsen, in the region of West Bohemia, a city renowned for its beer. Time for a walk through its historic center where we find the Great Square, the cathedral, the Plague Column and a Renaissance-era town hall. We will then cross into Germany where we will follow a section of the so-called ¨Romantic Route¨. Next, we will visit Rothemburg, a town that seems to come straight out of a fairy tale, and is considered to be one of the most beautiful villages in the country. Afterwards, we will head to Frankfurt. Arrival in the financial capital of Germany in late-afternoon. Free time in the historic city center where there is a wide variety of restaurants to choose from (from Indian cuisine to Oriental, Italian, international and so on).

Pilsen, CZECH REPUBLIC

A European capital of culture, Pilsen is the 4th most populous city in the Czech Republic and best known for its production of pilsner beer. Home to St. Bartholomew's Cathedral (and other architectural landmarks) Pilsen is a popular tourist destination.
Rothenburg, GERMANY

A town in Germany well known for its well-preserved medieval old town, a destination for tourists from around the world. It is part of the popular Romantic Road through southern Germany. Rothenburg was a Free Imperial City from the late Middle Ages to 1803.
Frankfurt, GERMANY

This historic German city contains more than 30 museums and a large variety of architecture that spans centuries. Its mild climate and picturesque location on the Main River make it a wonderful place to spend your vacation!

Cancellation of Orders and Penalty
Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. All cancellations or changes of date must comply with the following details: (Notification day and departure day are not counted)
118 dollars will be charged if cancel or change within or more than 31 days before departure date (not including departure date).
10% of total fee and 118 dollars will be charged if cancel or change within 30 days before departure date (not including departure date).
25% of total fee and 118 dollars will be charged if cancel or change within 10 days before departure date (not including departure date).
35% of total fee and 118 dollars will be charged if cancel or change within 3 days before departure date (not including departure date).
Absolutely NO refund on all cancellations or postponements within 1 day prior to departure (not including departure date).
The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
Itinerary Variations
We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
Tour Cancellation:
We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
