Although the magnificent city of Rome was not built in a day, guests on this segway tour will be able to see its glory in just a few hours. The day will begin after guests have been picked up from the specified departure location in the city. We will start with a brief orientation session during which we will learn how to drive and operate a segway. Then, we will set off into the city, stopping first at the Palatine Hill. Next, we will continue on our way, passing the incredible Circus Maximus before reaching the Aventine Hill (and the quaint orange grove at the summit). After this, we will glide down to the hill to reach the Church of Santa Maria of Cosmedin, where the remains of St. Valentine are kept. Later on, we will go to the Capitoline Hill, the Roman Forum, and finally, the Colosseum.     Aventine Hill

    The Aventine is one of the seven hills upon which Rome was built. Historically, it held many temples to various gods and goddesses, including Diana and Ceres.

    Capitoline Hill

    One of the seven hills of Rome, the Capitoline was the citadel of the ancient city. The current layout at the top of the hill was designed in the Renaissance by celebrated artist Michelangelo.

    Colosseum

    Colosseum
    This nearly 2000-year-old structure is one of the most famous buildings in all of human history. At its height, it could hold up to 80,000 people, and was usually used for gladiatorial contests, executions, and drama productions.

    Circus Maximus

    This ancient stadium was used during the time of the Roman Empire to host chariot races. The site is now a public park, although the Rolling Stones did play a concert here in 2014.

    More commonly known as simply the "Forums," this ancient site was once a public square surrounded by active governmental buildings. The ruins go back at least as far as the eighth century BC and were the heart of ancient Rome.

Additional Note

  • Guests are not permitted to drink alcohol during the Segway Tour. Any client suspected of drinking before or during the tour will forfeit the Segway Tour. No refund will be given in this case.
  • For safety reasons, the use of Segway is not recommended when pregnant. In cases of early pregnancies we can allow you to participate after signing a waiver releasing us from any responsibility.
  • We do recommend asking your guide to take photos so you can focus on riding and balancing on your Segway.
  • Our tour is an orientation sightseeing visit of the city. We easily glide by the monuments without entering them.
  • This tour operates rain or shine. In the event of heavy rain, we might continue to same tour route via gold-cart. Should stormy weather occur, a rain check will be issued and guests are invited to pick another day, depending upon availability, or may be issued a refund.
  • Riding a Segway requires you to be able to perform simple tasks and to be self sufficient; stand up straight, lean slightly forward and backwards, and be able to climb a step.
  • The Segway is appropriate for guests aged 12 to70 years old and those weighing between 100 lbs to 250 lbs (45-113 kilos).

Confirmation

  • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book the airline tickets until you received the confirmation.

Redemption

  • Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your e-ticket. You must print and bring e-ticket(s) on your trip, as they serve as proof of purchase.

Terms & Condition

  • Cancellation Policy:
    The payment is fully refundable if the reservation is cancelled 72 hours or more prior to the scheduled tour.
    Cancellations received within 48 hours - 72 hours of departure will incur a penalty of 50% of total purchase amount.
    The payment will not be refunded for any other reason (i.e. weather, change of travel plans, illness, missed train, etc.) within 48 hours of the scheduled tour.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
  • Prices may vary and are subject to availability by season, weekend, and/or holiday.
  • While we will make every effort to maintain a regular operation, we reserve the right to cancel a scheduled trip and issue a full refund to affected customers under special circumstances.
  • We reserve the right to modify the tour arrangements for smooth operation of the tour.
