We depart from Frankfurt for Zurich, a fascinating city known for its stunning natural beauty and vibrant cultural scene, making it an ideal place to relax and explore. Visit the [Grossmünster], a magnificent Romanesque-style cathedral with a rich history. Enjoy the picturesque scenery on both sides of [Lake Zurich]. And stroll along [Bahnhofstrasse], lined with high-end boutiques and cafés. Later, we continue our journey to Lucerne, where we will visit the [Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke)], a 14th-century wooden bridge adorned with historical paintings. We will also see the [Lion Monument], a moving tribute to Swiss Guards who lost their lives during the French Revolution.
Zurich, Switzerland
Sitting on the northwestern tip of Lake Zurich, this city is the largest in Switzerland. The Bahnhofstrasse ("Station Street") is an important landmark as one of the world's most expensive shopping areas.
Grossmunster
This Romanesque style Protestant church was originally a Carolingian church that was converted after the Reformation extended to Zurich. Allegedly, the church was commissioned by Charlemagne. Construction started around 1100 and wrapped up in 1220.
Zurich Lake
This Swiss lake lies to the southeast of the city of the same name. It is fed by the Linth River. It is a narrow lake, only reaching a maximum width of 2 miles, but reaches 25 miles long.
Bahnhofstrasse
Bahnhofstrasse, meaning "Station Street" in English, is the main downtown street in Zurich. It is home to some of the city's best shops, like Bvlgari, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Prada, and many more.
Lucerne, Switzerland
This Swiss city on gorgeous Lake Lucerne is popular with tourists due to its amazing views of the lake, Mount Pilatus, and Mount Rigi of the Swiss Alps. Some of the buildings in Lucerne date back hundreds of years.
Lion Monument
The Lion of Lucerne is an amazing sculpture carved directly into a cliffside in one of Switzerland's most gorgeous cities. It was done to commemorate the deaths of Swiss soldiers who were brutally massacred during the bloody French Revolution.
Chapel Bridge
This covered bridge that crosses the Reuss River in Lucerne is one of Switzerland's main tourist attractions. The interior of the bridge contains several paintings which were completed in the 17th century.
After breakfast, we’ll drive to Liechtenstein, a small, wealthy country known for its beautiful Alpine scenery. It's also famous for its tax havens and high standard of living. We'll visit [Postmuseum(Museo de sellos)], where you can explore the fascinating history of postage and postal services in this tiny principality. Next, we’ll continue our journey to Munich, where you'll have the chance to visit [Marienplatz], the heart of Munich, where you can admire the stunning [New Town Hall] with its exquisite Neo-Gothic architecture. Overnight stay in German-Austrian border area.
Liechtenstein, Liechtenstein
Liechtenstein is situated in the upper Rhine valley of the European Alps, between Austria and Switzerland. Visitors can enjoy skiing and snowboarding in the winter or festivals, cuisine, sports, the Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein, the historic Vaduz Castle, and much more, year round.
Postage Stamp Museum
Liechtenstein has a long history of postal service, which is celebrated at this museum that features thousands of postage stampsissued by the country dating back to 1912. The museum was opened in 1936.
Munich, Germany
Munich is the third largest city in Germany and capital of the state of Bavaria. Throughout its history, the city has been at the forefront of architectural production, with the older, historic buildings blending perfectly with modern architecture.
Marienplatz
This public square has been the main square in Munich since 1158. It is named for Mary's Column, which stands in its center, erected in the 17th century to celebrate the end of Swedish occupation.
After breakfast, we'll drive to Vienna, a city renowned for its rich cultural heritage, imperial history, and reputation as the "capital of music," where classical composers like Mozart, Beethoven, and Strauss once lived and created their masterpieces. We'll explore the imperial summer residence of [Schönbrunn Palace](optional) and [Austrian Parliament](exterior visit only), symbolizing Austria’s political history. Next, we'll visit [Stephansdom], known for its striking tiled roof and panoramic views of the city from the tower, and [Hofburg Palace](exterior visit only), housing the offices of the Austrian president and various museums.
Vienna, Austria
Vienna is the capital city of Austria. It is considered one of the best places to live in the world. Called "The City of Music", Vienna has produced internationally famous composers such as Beethoven, Brahms, Mahler, Mozart and more.
Schonbrunn Palace
Schonbrunn Palace is both one of the most important cultural landmarks in Austria and possibly the most major of its tourist attractions. This 1,440-room Rococo estate and gardens was built by Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian II in 1569.
St. Stephen's Cathedral
The noticeable and unique mosaic roof of this church in the Austrian capital has made Saint Stephen's one of the most recognizable buildings in the city. The church has seen several additions, but the oldest parts are from the 12th century.
Austrian Parliament Building(Outside Visit)
The Austrian Parliament Building is, as the name implies, the place where the governmental proceedings of the Austrian government are decided on and enacted. Its Grecian influence was meant to invoke the democratic beliefs of the ancient Greeks.
Hofburg Palace(Outside Visit)
This former imperial palace now serves as the residence of the Austrian president. In addition, this massive complex also houses museums that detail the history of the Austrian government. It also serves as a convention center for the city.
After breakfast, head to [Pandorf Designer Outlet] for about an hour of shopping (this stop will be cancelled on Sundays and public holidays). Then proceed to Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Enjoy a scenic [Danube River Cruise](optional) to admire the beautiful views along both banks. Afterwards, visit the [Heroes' Square], a historic landmark celebrating Hungary's millennium. Continue with a visit to the [Fisherman’s Bastion](exterior visit only), an iconic terrace offering panoramic views of the city. We will also see the [Buda Castle](exterior visit only), a former royal residence, and the [Matthias Church] (exterior visit only), renowned for its stunning architecture and vibrant history. Overnight stay in Budapest or nearby.
Budapest, Hungary
Budapest is the capital city of Hungary and is routinely considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. A large area of the city is considered a World Heritage Site by the United Nations.
Buda Castle
Completed in 1265, for generations this castle was the historical residency of the Hungarian kings. The medieval castle was destroyed in a 16th century siege of the city, and the palace was rebuilt in the Baroque style.
Fisherman's Bastion(Outside Visit)
The Fisherman's Bastion on the Buda side of the Danube River in Hungary is an incredible white-stone viewing terrace with conical towers. It was built in the 1890s and gets its name from the fisherman's guild that once defended the area.
Heroes Square
The centerpiece of this famous square in Budapest is a series of statues known as the Millennium Memorial. The statues are of the leaders of the nine tribes that founded Hungary as well as other historic Hungarian figures.
Matthias Church(Outside Visit)
This impressive and dramatic Gothic cathedral in Budapest was built in the late 1300s, although local tradition claims it dates back to the 12th century. It houses an Ecclesiastical-art museum that contains replicas of the Hungarian royal jewels.
Danube Cruise
Take a leisurely cruise down the beautiful Danube River to see the magnificent city of Budapest from the water. This river is the vein that flows between the two part of the city, Buda and Pest.
After breakfast, we head to Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. You'll visit [St. Vitus Cathedral], an example of Gothic architecture located within the Prague Castle complex, and [Charles Bridge], where you can stroll across and enjoy panoramic views of the city and the river. Next, explore the [Golden Lane], named for the goldsmiths who once lived here. Afterwards, discover the [Prague Castle], which is a vast historic complex, that was home to the Czech kings and a symbol of the nation's rich history. Continue your exploration with a visit to [Old Town Square], the heart of Prague's historic center, where you'll find the famous [Prague Astronomical Clock].
Prague, Czech Republic
Prague has been an important city for 1,100 years. It is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic, features more than ten museums, and its historic city center is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
St. Vitus Cathedral
The largest church in the Czech Republic, St. Vitus Cathedral is a beautiful Gothic church, marked by its high vaulted ceiling and flying buttresses, which had a large influence over the development of this architectural style in central Europe.
Charles Bridge
The Charles Bridge links Prague's Old Town district with the Prague Castle areas, and was once the only way to cross the Vltava River in the city center. During the day, the bridge is lined with street artists and performers.
Golden Lane
This historic street in front of the massive and spectacular Prague Castle gets its name from the alchemists who are said to once have roamed the area looking for a way to turn ordinary minerals into gold.

This massive palatial complex in Prague serves as the official residence of the President of the Czech Republic. It is the largest ancient castle in the world with a total area of 70,000 square-meters.
Old Town Square
This public square in the heart of Prague's historic Old Town displays some excellent examples of Gothic and baroque architecture; for example, the square's two major churches, Tyn Church and St. Nihcolas Church, each showcase one of these styles.
The Prague Astronomical Clock

We’ll visit Dresden for sightseeing at [Dresdner Frauenkirche], [Semperoper Dresden](optional) and [Dresdner Zwinger]. Due to its mild climate, strategic location, and the beautiful Baroque architecture along the Elbe River, Dresden has earned the nickname “Florence on the Elbe”. Afterwards, we’ll go to Berlin to visit [Museum Island] , [Berlin Wall], [Berliner Dom] and [Berliner Fernsehturm]. Beyond its historical significance, Berlin is also known for its tolerant, eclectic multiculturalism, which has made a lasting impression.
Dresden, Germany
Dresden has a long history as the capital and royal residence for the Electors and Kings of Saxony, who for centuries furnished the city with cultural and artistic splendor, and was once by personal union the family seat of Polish monarchs. The city was known as the Jewel Box, because of its baroque and rococo city centre.
Zwinger
This Rococo palace in Dresden once served as an exhibition gallery and festival area, but today is a museum complex, containing collections like the Old Masters Picture Gallery and the Dresden Porcelain Collection.
Berlin, Germany
Berlin is a world city of culture, politics, media and science, home to world-renowned universities, orchestras, museums, and entertainment venues, and is host to many sporting events. Its Zoological Garden is the most visited zoo in Europe.
Museum Island
This island, sitting on the River Spree, got its name because of the collection of museum's located on it, which include the Altes Museum, the Neues Museum, the Alte Nationalgalerie, the Bode Museum, and the Pergamon Museum.
Berlin Wall
From 1961 to 1989, this wall divided Berlin in two and came to symbolize the division between East and West Germany during the Cold War.
After breakfast, continue your sightseeing in Berlin. Visit the [Reichstag Building], a symbol of Germany's democratic traditions and its turbulent history; the [Brandenburg Gate], which was once a symbol of division during the Cold War and has since become a symbol of German unity and peace; and the [Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe] , which commemorates the Jewish victims of the Holocaust. Then head to Frankfurt.

Reichstagsgebaude
Located in Berlin, Reichstagsgebaude, also known as the the Reichstag building, houses the German parliament (the Bundestag). Constructed 1894, the building has historical significance through the Nazi period, Cold War, and Reunification of Germany. Notable include its river front views and glass dome architectural feature.
Brandenburg Gate
One of the best landmarks in Germany, Brandenburg Gate was built as a triumphal arch in the neoclassical style, completed in 1790. During the Cold War, the gate was closed, disallowing passage between East and West Berlin.

Smart route from Frankfurt to Budapest. Comfortable bus, steady driver. Only lunch spots can be pricey, but guide gave budget tips. Highly recommend!
