The pickup from the Strip and 45-minute drive to Boulder City were straightforward. The view from the Memorial Bridge, 900 feet above the Colorado River, was impressive. I found not having to worry about navigation or parking the most practical part of the day.
The fall colors were beautiful, and the Agawa Canyon train was the highlight for me. The ticket was an extra cost, but seeing Black Beaver Falls and Bridal Veil Falls made it worthwhile.
This tour linked several national parks well. We spent a fair amount of time on the coach, but each stop allowed about an hour to stretch and take photos. Antelope Canyon was optional at $105 per adult; since I was there anyway, I thought it was worth joining.
The day trip from Paris to Chantilly covered about 110 kilometers with a guide. The chateau and the Prince de Conde's Grand Stables were the highlights, especially the equestrian center. Lunch wasn't included in the package, so I paid for my own meal.
The bus tour took us past the holiday lights and movie locations around New York, linking up spots like Rockefeller Center and Central Park. I especially liked the Central Park segment since it was featured in Serendipity. A guide was on board, and taxes were covered in the tour price, which made things easy.
Seven days connecting southern France and Barcelona, moving to a new place every day with scenic drives along the way—the pace wasn't slow, but it worked. My favorites were the Palais des Papes and Pont Saint-Benezet in Avignon, and Sagrada Familia in Barcelona; Gaudí's architecture really left an impression. Breakfast was included, lunches and dinners were on our own, which felt reasonable overall.
This route links the main cities of several eastern provinces, and ten days covered quite a lot. The drives were long, but stops like the Hartland Covered Bridge and the world's largest lobster statue kept things from getting dull.
Five days covered Niagara Falls, Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal—it was a packed schedule, but we hit the main sights in each city. I especially liked Parliament Hill in Ottawa; the architecture is impressive.
