After pickup from hotel we will drive to Montezuma Castle in a private SUV. A detailed narration of all historical sites and areas will be along the way. Then we will go to another prevalent Native American Monument Tuzigoot. From there we will go to the historical mining town of Jerome, AZ. Soon after, we will head to Sedona and have lunch in the uptown area. After Lunch we will have time to walk around and explore the downtown area for about an hour. We will then hit some great red rock photo stops on the way out of town. We will finally back to hotel around 6:00pm.
Grand Canyon, AZ
Considered one of the seven natural wonders of the world, the Grand Canyon was carved over 17 million years by the Colorado River. This breathtaking, 18-mile-long canyon has been stunning visitors for hundreds of years.
Montezuma Castle National Monument
The Montezuma Castle National Monument isn't actually a monument, but an area of preserved cliff dwellings once used by Native Americans. The buildings were carved directly into the limestone walls of the cliffside by daring Sinaqua builders.
Clarkdale, AZ
Clarkdale is a town in Yavapai County, Arizona, United States. The Verde River flows through the town as does Bitter Creek, an intermittent tributary of the river. Clarkdale, formerly a mining town, is now largely a retirement community with an eye for the arts.
Tuzigoot National Monument
Tuzigoot National Monument preserves a 2- to 3-story pueblo ruin on the summit of a limestone and sandstone ridge just east of Clarkdale, Arizona. The Tuzigoot Site is an elongated complex of stone masonry rooms that were built along the spine of a natural outcrop in the Verde Valley.
Jerome, AZ
Jerome is a town in the Black Hills of Yavapai County in the State of Arizona. Founded in the late 19th century on Cleopatra Hill overlooking the Verde Valley, it is more than 5,000 feet (1,500 m) above sea level.
