The Parks of the American West

US National Park Tours & Vacation Packages

US National Park tours and vacation packages cover the parks of the American West — the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Yosemite, Zion, Bryce Canyon and Antelope Canyon, often combined on Southwest national park loops. Which city you board in decides which parks you reach: Las Vegas for the Southwest canyons, Salt Lake City or Denver for Yellowstone, Los Angeles and San Francisco for Yosemite. Hotels, transport and a guide are included on most multi-day packages.

Which National Park to Visit

The parks sit far apart, so most trips cover one area rather than all of them. The Southwest canyons cluster close enough to link on a single loop; Yellowstone stands alone to the north and runs in the summer season only; Yosemite pairs with the California coast.

Where to Start Your National Park Trip

No one lives at the parks, so every trip starts from a gateway city. Which one you fly into decides which parks are within reach.

Trip Days You'll see From Best for
From Las Vegas 1-15 Days The closest city to the Southwest canyons, and the only one with day trips to the rim $134 Short on time
From Los Angeles 3-21 Days The widest choice of routes — the canyons east, Yosemite and the coast north $251 A first trip West
From Salt Lake City 3-9 Days The shortest route into Yellowstone, so more time inside the park $579 Yellowstone in the summer season
From San Francisco 1-11 Days Yosemite inland, with the coast road south through Monterey $214 Parks plus coastline
From Denver 5-15 Days Yellowstone and Mount Rushmore on the same route, through the northern Rockies $831 Wildlife and the Rockies
Two days and up

Multi-Day Grand Canyon Tours

Multi-day routes reach what a day trip cannot — the East Rim, and Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend over in Page, Arizona, with Zion, Bryce Canyon and Monument Valley on longer itineraries. Four days is the most common length, boarding in Los Angeles or Las Vegas with nights in Las Vegas and Page along the way. Routes from San Francisco run longer and pair the canyon with Yosemite. Hotels, coach and guide included.

Grand Canyon Day Trips

Day trips run from Las Vegas to both rims and return the same evening. West Rim tours are the shorter drive and usually add Hoover Dam or Seven Magic Mountains on the way; Skywalk admission is included on some and priced separately on others. South Rim tours are a longer day on the road for the deeper, wider view inside the national park. Departures are early and returns are in the evening.

What Travelers Say

The tour was excellent. The tour guide was very cooperative and friendly. He took all efforts to make the tour a memorable. We could see the hidden treasuries of American national parks. My score for the trip as well as Guide is 10 out of 10.

—Subhendu · 7-Day Yellowstone, Antelope Canyon, Grand Canyon and Lake Tahoe Tour from San Francisco

We came away appreciating the national parks even more. Would definitely recommend Subi if you ever get the chance to tour the canyons and national parks. Would give more than 5 stars if I could 💯✨

—Caryn · 2-Day Grand Canyon East and South Rim, Upper/Lower Antelope Canyon and Zion National Park Tour from Las Vegas

The Super Southwest Tour with Bindlestiff was greater than I even imagined. We altered our route to include all Mighty 5 National Parks of Utah as well as Goblin Valley State Park before heading down to Nevada to explore the Grand Canyon. The helicopter ride from rim to rim was exceptional! I especially enjoyed the tour through Antelope Canyon. Thanks, Bindlestiff Team, for taking care of all the details!

—Doreen · 7-Day Camping Tour to Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Arches, Canyonlands and Monument Valley from Las Vegas

Hello! The tour was wonderful! We were able to see and do so much in the 3 day time period- our guide, Justin, was wonderful! He communicated clearly and was engaging and informative for the entire trip. He was also very flexible in accommodating those who couldn't hike as much or when the ice cream stand was closed, he was able to quickly pivot to a new plan. He made the van rides fun with stories and music and information about the areas we were traveling through. The accommodations were excellent! The add on at Lower Antelope canyon was well worth the extra money as were all the meals that were offered as extras. The jeep ride in Monument Valley was also fun and interesting. The only recommendation I could give is to make it clearer where the initial pick up point was- I wouldn't have known that Jason was just around the corner unless a security guard came and informed me. There was no one to call that early in the AM so it added a little anxiety initially. But I would rate this trip a 10/10 and would recommend it to anyone. One other thing - we didn't have children in our van but it made me wonder if you ever offered 'adult only' trips? Thanks for the excellent tour and the excellent communication before and after!

—Susan · 3-Day Camping to Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce, Antelope Canyon, Lake Powell & Monument Valley from Las Vegas (Summer Tour)

I was initially a little surprised to be only English speaking person in tour, but I got into rhythm and this tour is so very well planned, that you capture each site at just the right time of day. Hotels were fantastic and tour guide Yue was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

—Sheree · 4-Day Grand Circle National Parks Tour: Antelope Canyon, Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce, Canyonlands, Arches from Las Vegas

I had a really great experience on this tour. Kevin communicated with us in both Mandarin and English and was extremely knowledgeable about the canyons we visited. He was also very friendly and accommodating throughout the trip, always making sure everyone was comfortable and was happy to answer any questions. The itinerary was well planned and his directions were easy to follow. Harry, our bus driver, was also very nice and helped make the long drives feel safe and comfortable. Overall, it was a really enjoyable tour and I would definitely recommend it.

—mel · 4-Day Grand Canyon and Antelope Canyon Tour from Los Angeles / Las Vegas | Premium Coach | 5-Star Vegas Hotel

Our guide, Justin, was incredibly professional and provided us with a wealth of information about the history, the local people, the wildlife, and everything related to the places we visited. The tour was exceptionally well organized, allowing for a relaxing pace with ample time to explore the national parks. We felt at ease and truly enjoyed the experience!

—Haley · 3-Day Grand Canyon, Zion, Lake Powell and Monument Valley Tour from Las Vegas (Winter Tour)

Amazing tour from start to finish. Great customer service, great guide, great group, great accommodation (we chose the hotel version). Really exceptional. Just DO IT!!!

—Alan · 3-Day Grand Canyon, Zion, Lake Powell and Monument Valley Tour from Las Vegas (Winter Tour)

This tour linked several national parks well. We spent a fair amount of time on the coach, but each stop allowed about an hour to stretch and take photos. Antelope Canyon was optional at $105 per adult; since I was there anyway, I thought it was worth joining.

—Merlin · 5-Day Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon and Theme Park Tour from Las Vegas | Premium Coach

We had an amazing trip to the Grand Canyon from Las Vegas. We were able to see the sunset the first day and the sunrise the second day. Paul, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and he directed us to all the best spots. The drive is long, but we passed the time listening to some groovy tunes. Thank you for a great family trip!

—Leon · 1-Day Grand Canyon South Rim and Hoover Dam Private day tour from Las Vegas
